Confirmed by Toronto Dealer - 4matic will be standard
I've been driving my c63 fine with winter tires during the winter, but can't stop wishing it was AWD. Zibby, I hope you're right!
Overall, the is maybe an inch or two more of room side to side, but it gets taken up by the new wider centre console. The rear has at least two to three inches more of leg room.
I was also able to confirm with someone from MB here that the Canadian car is for sure RWD only. We are not getting AWD yet.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Well, at least there is now a clear example of how fair and impartial things are around here........
Even without the DCT, I will probably buy a C63 as long as it gets AWD.
The C63 needs AWD to sell.
People that can afford to spend $70k on a C63, know that there are better RWD alternatives for performance.
If no AWD, I would just buy a 2015 SS Sedan from Chevy, add a centri blower and headers and have a 10 second capable RWD sedan with a clutch pedal.
I would even replace any chrome with carbon fiber, black out everything, and wrap the dash and entire interior in leather or alcantara.
Some here will laugh and turn up there nose.
Where some see low class, I see understated sleeper.
I like sleepers for daily drivers, especially the way I drive. LOL

That doesn't sound like a AWD C63 will be coming to the US anytime soon. And it definitely doesn't sound like any dealer that claims that AWD is coming actually heard that from a reputable source... or from anywhere at all. Sounds more like they just made that crap up on the spot!
Guess that we'll find out the truth in a week or two, or at the Paris Motorshow.

Not going anywhere. No matter what.
I'm gonna keep the faith that AMG will offer a C63 with both AWD and DCT.
If you don't think in needs AWD, you've never driven through a Northeast winter or owned a 600rwhp++++ car.
Some of us are intelligent and will continue to think for ourselves.
In addition, some of us read a direct quote from a MB executive that said his PERSONAL CAR was a 2015 C63 mule with AWD.
So, I choose to believe that MB is intelligent enough to know that a high HP LUXURY SEDAN should have AWD, especially when pushing 500HP or more and to believe the direct quotes I've read from MB execs.
Not that I expect a kid from Vegas to be open minded about AWD and to understand the winter climates the majority of the population have to deal with.
I live in Southern California and I can care less about AWD...Rather do burnouts....haha. Also, don't care to pay 2k more for AWD. And if it does snow, I'll take the SUV out so there are options.
Love rwd. Awd is for people who are scared of the power and scared to drive these monsters.
Cheers and that is it from me to you.
If you can afford an E63, you should be able to afford dedicated machines for specific duties: Daily driver, sports car, track weapon, etc.
A luxury performance sedan only qualifies for ONE of those: DAILY DRIVER. A daily driver should have AWD in the northeast.
I drove a 650rwhp+ 1989 Mustang (no tech, rear drum brakes) 30k miles a year as a sales rep through the worst winters of the 1990's and I've been racing 1000cc bikes since 2001.
Juvenile comments questioning others "ability" to drive/ride make me laugh.
If you think AWD is for pussies, go drive a 800hp+++ AMS GTR or a UGR Gallardo and get back to me.
Everyone whining and crying against AWD admit they have AWD drive cars in their garage currently.
I DO NOT WANT A SUV.
I DO NOT WANT TO DRIVE A PIECE OF CRAP ALL WINTER.
I want to use the C63 as a daily driver.
So, YES, AWD is a must for me.
If not, I'l just drive my supercharged Corvette year round.
I don't know why this concept is so hard for some of you to grasp. (shaking my head)
I agree that auto companies should give us CHOICES. Especially if we are ordering a car. I think you should be able to order a RWD C63 if you want it.
But, if MB insists on only offering ONE configuration, it should be AWD.
