The hardest decision ever for me...

So maybe some of you will remember me and some won't. I previously had a 2013 c63 white on black. Car had kw v3, MBH headers, euro charged tune, intake etc... LOVED the car it was honestly my realistic dream car. Ended up putting it back to stock and selling it because I needed a truck for work. Anyway I'm back in the market for a new car and the f80 m3 is just stunning. However I have always been a fan of Mercedes over BMW. I know there are a few people on these forums that had a c63 and now own a m3/m4 so I want to hear you opinions. Here are my points.
-2015 c63
Outside looks OK, quarter panel are still not wide enough.
Inside looks great, love the seats of course.
Obviously sound wise AMG is always the best IMO.
Big problem is that they depreciate very quickly and I get bored of stuff quickly (lost a LOT of money on my 8 month old c63)

Bmw f80 M3
Outside looks amazing, inside is also nice.
DCT is AMAZING.
Won't depereciate as quick/bad
Everyone says they handle amazing. (I got to test drive one but only for a few minutes)

Either car I will be doing Euro Delivery however I'm pretty set on the m3 (one big reason is depreciation value and also the outside is just amazing). Either way I would like to hear everyone's opinion.
Thanks!

Get the F80. It is an awesome car. Will depreciate as quick.

When I wrecked my C55, I drove around in a work minivan that was a total piece of crap. I did that until I found the right car for me. At that time I was looking for an SL55. After 2 months I found it and it was worth the wait. Then I sold the SL55 and was in the market for a C63. I drove our work truck (pretty basic Dodge Dakoda) for about a month until I found the right C63 for me.

With all that said, Maybe before you make your choice on cars the new C63 is due out soon. If you dont mind driving your work truck then waiting to see what the new C63 has to offer. This way you will know if the M is for you or the C63 is where its at.

Just so you know, I'm taking care of your previous C quite nicely Still stock minus those little touches (wrap, spoiler, seats, etc)...

Anywho,

Honestly, drive what you are driving now for some more time. Wait and see exactly what the C63 can do once they have tunes and downpipes, etc... By then, there will be a used market on the car and you can at least avoid that initial drive off the lot depreciation. Obviously the longer you wait the more you'll save.

You're in NY, ride out this coming winter and see what the market looks like coming this spring.

2014 C63 AMG 507 sedan
I bought those KWs from you.
Just wanted to add my perspective. My C63 was damaged in a flood and was totaled. I put an order for an f80 M3 to try something new and "upgrade". My build date was pushed from last Monday to the last week of November due to a backlog of parts for production. I cancelled my order since I won't be able to enjoy it during the winter. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise because pictures and numbers of the w205 C63 came out.
After plenty of deliberation, I'm on the hunt for a 507 sedan. The new cars don't excite me as much as the w204, and I miss my C63.

You won't be able to do Euro Delivery on the 205 C-Class. The US market cars are now all made in Alabama.

I say this to everyone . . .

Literally drive the cars you're interested in purchasing. And make sure the test drive is thorough. I know it takes patience (which is a rare commodity in today's world) but that will give you the best idea of which car you prefer.

You mentioned that you've driven the new M. That's a great start. My advice? Don't pull the trigger until you also put the new C63 through its paces.

You need to see the cars in person (inside and out). You need find out what they're capable of and whether they satisfy your criteria.

Whenever I've purchased a car without driving it first, that car hasn't lasted long.

I realize that with some cars (911 GT3, etc.), a test drive isn't possible. But when the opportunity is available, I firmly believe you should take advantage of it because that will allow you to make the most informed decision.

My 2 cents.

IMO, if anyone is actually thinking about buying the M3/4 then they should buy one.
If all the negatives about the M3/4 doesn't bother you then it is definitely the car for you.

The W205 C63 has those cars beat in every department except exterior design and handling... And handling is TBD, there is a chance that AMG and this new chassis might catch up in the handling department.

But there is absolutely nothing else about the M3/4 that is better than the C63... NOTHING!

I'd recommend holding off on the M3 buy until you've seen and driven the new C63. Personally I prefer the prospect of a TT V8 over the turbo I-6 in the M3/4. At the end of the day, you can't really go wrong with either car.

Yes def cant go wrong. I thought the M3 was nice but I think that v8 tt is going to pack a serious punch

Anyone thinks we will get AWD? AMG has so many other 4matics models, i dont see why not in the new C63. Especially when they offer it in the C400.

You could tell me that the M3/4 is a 2.4 seconds 0-60 and 9.X 1/4-mile car stock -- I just personally cannot get over that exhaust. Had the displeasure of driving next to a brand new M4 today in my '63:

Visually, the M4 is STUNNING -- truly a work of art, and I accept, car undriven, that it handles and performs as amazing as I've heard.

But, LOL, that exhaust... good lord.

50% of the experience for me (and probably many people) is the sound I hear, and the sound I project onto the world around me. You buy a big v8 with a loud exhaust TO BE HEARD.

M3/4 -- gorgeous cars though.

I would say like others said. Wait and see the new C63. Take your time choosing. I drove the M3/M4 and for sure it is a nice car but I wasn't sold though. The smaller displacement (even with 2 turbos) + the exhaust note kind of got me thinking several times.

Mufflers that make that car outperform your e92 (though that torque lacking v8 does sound better), and outperform my c63. Good friend of mine has an m4 and ran an 11.9 the other night, stock.

If you haven't heard one in person the sound isn't THAT bad. Is it worse than a N/A AMG v8? Obviously, but you're comparing apples to oranges at that point.

The m3 looks better than the new c63. It also sounds pretty good with some exhaust work, and is still plenty quick for a street car. It is amazing how quickly dismiss it because they don't like how it sounds on a youtube clip.

That all said, I think the new c63 is going to be something special with its added "mufflers." Again, a car people are so quick to dismiss for silly reasons and assumptions. Did I mention bmw DCT absolutely chits on MB MCT? You already know this though...
