Because it's fake. Here's an M135i coded to sound like an M4. If you can code a an M135i to sound like an M3/M4, there is now way the sound on the M3/M4 is real.

To be fair, the M3/4, M135i, 335i, 435i, 535i etc all use the same 3.0 engine. So even without the current synthetic sound, I am sure that they all can sound the same.

The ///M division no longer make special engines for their cars. They just swap a couple engine components, increase the hp output and call it "performance."

LOL of course I was joking, the new M3 M4 sounds terrible even with a full exhaust.

And i'm not a BMW hater I also own a X6m with catless DPs and full titanium akrapovic exhaust. It sounds *****in.

HOT ICE that is crazy, the sound is obviously fake

I imagine with a little exhaust work the new C63 will sound insane.

I'm guessing the new c63 doesn't use a sound symposer or anything fake?

Maybe the m3 m4 should replace the exhaust pipes with long tubed speakers with bass

Those guys at AMG def know how to make their cars sound good. To me the sound of my car is very important. You guys should hear how nasty my CLA45 sounds with a IPE turbo back exhaust. If those guys can gat a 2.0T to sound that good they should have no problem with a V8tt.

No. Tobias Moers, the head of AMG has gone on the record and said he doesn't like them. He goes on to say that maybe in the future, but today, it's important to have natural sound from an AMG.

I believe we will see it in the 450's then later we will see/hear the fake noise from a "real" AMG.

Not an AMG. AMG has had a hand in tuning it, but that's it. It's basically a regular model with marginally better suspension and aero kit.

I was just hinting at the fact that it may be a sign that augmented sound is probably not very far away for AMG.

Fingers crossed it's not anytime soon. They've done a great job tuning the V8 and the exhaust, in my opinion.

The exhaust is made up of 3 internal flaps. The S63 only has 2. The exhaust has a nasty bark to it when open. Trust me hehe

I've never come across a twin turbo V8 either it be OEM or aftermarket that didn't sound anything short of fantastic, this one which has also been purposely exhaust sound tuned by AMG was never in any doubt of sounding as good as it does
