Any word on the certification figures for the official weight and MPG? The MBUSA AMG website is still showing the weight as 3,924 and "XX" for MPG.

 

MB of Beverly Hills expects my car in early June. They apparently have one coming in May, though I don't have any details on it. I think they're trying to upsell me. 😀

 

I wonder what the market value will be for this car in Beverly Hills....

Just saw that the cars should be put on the trains/trucks shortly. Hopefully that means today.

 

Official Certification Weights:

C63:
- 3729 lbs Shipping Weight (10% fuel load)
- 3829 lbs Curb Weight (100% fuel load

C63 S:
- 3755 lbs Shipping Weight (10% fuel load)
- 3855 lbs Curb Weight (100% fuel load)

The 26lb higher weight of the C63 S is because of content (19" wheels (vs 18" on C63), larger front brakes, nappa leather and assorted trim bits)

 

Curb weight is pretty much what I expected... about 200lbs heavier than the DCT F80 M3 (depending on how much fuel is in the C63 S's tank).

If this is a fully loaded weight, a non-pano roof could shave off 50+lbs from the top of the car.

Put your car on a scale when you get it and let's see

It has an 18 gallon fuel tank; just like a regular 205.

My trainer said he was average 15 MPG City/22 Highway. Impressive I think. The car only had 1,750 miles on it however.

 

JP any news on your car? Did it end up being finished today? Also do you know if any cars were delivered or shipped today?

 

I do have a VIN so that's some news lol but no. The cars from what I can tell have been released to trucks to be loaded on rail.

So I was on PL AMG Chat session and I asked how long it would take for the car to get here from Alabama. William Vetter said it should take 15 days or less. That includes the rail time plus the logistics at the rail head.

 

I'm surprised that it can take that long.

 

I guess. So 15 days in production and 15 days in transit. There goes your 30 days from production to delivery.

 

Just called my dealership. The system still shows that the car is at the shipping yard. Wonder what's taking them so long to ship the car. Also at this rate it looks like I won't have the car by May 9th like I was hoping for...
