April now. I think there has been a delay. I kept asking my CA for updates. My car is the first W205 that will go into production for a customer ordered car. He looked at the list of cars for NA and me and another member on the forum have the first day of production builds. I would say it takes less than 2 weeks to build the car. Then transport it. Maybe mid-april.

 

So from the looks of it most of us will be getting our cars around the same time.

Talked to my dealership earlier today and so far there aren't any delays on my order. Supposed to contact them again March 12th or so after my cars built.

It doesn't surprise me about a possible delay. According to several sources the configurator was suppose to be available in Dec or Jan then Jan and here we are in mid Feb and it still is not up.
The AMG GTs MSRP just became available which makes me believe we are about one month behind it.

 

yuppp I'm hearing all this delay info. edition 1s are supposed to start coming june according to other people. regular ones in april

we got this. youre first on the east coast I'm first on the west coast

ill be saving tons of money so it will be worth it in the end wait on it

You can say that again, I Google the car everyday and nothing. Add to that knowing that the car wont arrive until late April or early June. Load of rubbish.

I have some updates, I should be betting a build date in 10 days or so. I asked about pricing and they said thats been delayed since all c63's are likely to be 2016's.

 

Hmm that's weird. I already had my build date. I honestly wonder what's going on.

 

I would assume they would update the site to say 2016 but it still says 2015. So maybe the dealership doesn't know anything like a lot of dealerships and they are making stuff up? I could be wrong but everyone has been told something different. I think MBUSA and AMG people on private lounge need to update us on what the heck is going on

 

So whats the reason behind this delay? If there were pictures of C63 testing on track then I would say they are just testing the vehicle more to insure that there will be no recall whatsoever but no spy picture recently of the new c63, so whats the delay all about?!

 

We'll find out soon once someone answers our question on the PL. Until then we can only guess. Although I wouldn't mind if they changed the name of the 2015 C63 to 2016 C63 since it would help with the resale value.

 

Most likely the dealerships are making things up. About two months ago, I spoke to one dealer that stated the "base" C63S is priced at $99,999. I kid you not. When I asked him why is it so much more expensive than the current C63, his reply was that it is sooo much nicer!

He didn't even have the US order book that has been posted on this website, but he just kept making things up. He didn't want to show the customer that he doesn't have the information

The price on that order etc isn't the actual price. They usually put a ridiculous number such as that until actual pricing is released.

 

Right. When I placed the order for the Edition 1 I saw the dealer order system and it shows $99,999 - I was told that MBUSA usually enter a bogus number in the system. The dealer told me that they had the same issue with other AMG prior to the release. Since my deposit is technically not refundable we put a note on the signed form that say "sale at MSPR limit at $88,000" which give me the option back-off my order and get my deposit back if the MSRP is over $88,000.

BTW, I know that the following is not clear science but, The Edition 1 in UK priced at 73,990 Euro. The base SL priced at 72,500 Euro and in the US it cost $84,000 so i would like to believe that C63 S Edition 1 will be just below my $88,000 limit. I think that anything above that price open many more options.

 

I'm guessing that the Edition 1 will be about 86k here in Canada and in the U.S cars usually cost quite a bit less. So in my opinion it should easily be under 88k in the U.S and probably anywhere from 80-84k . Possibly even less then I predicted if they do the same thing as they did with the CLA 45 where a Edition 1 costed less then a normal CLA 45 which had the same packages etc as the Ed1

 

The 99999 is a place holder for the price. That's what it always shows on all mb cars when you order it when the price isn't out. No need to worry lol

 

If there is a delay I wish mb would just tell everyone.
