W205 C63s quality

It is kind of scary to think a 70k-90K AMG car may have the same kind of problems the people in the regular W205 forum are venting.
I didn't read about the problems you say the W205 is having. But this is not surprising that there are some.
Next year should be better. The C63 will profit from this by launching a year later. But still, it probably is best to wait for the second year on the C63 as well.
If I was in the market for a new w205, I'd strongly consider a W204 507 edition...
For the last 7-8 years Mercedes has been trying real hard to get back to that #1 spot in customer satisfaction which seems to be more important then ever before with all car makers.
It doesn't feel like an entry-level sedan. It feels like a $70-80k car. Car & Driver certainly adores the quality: http://blog.caranddriver.com/this-is...r-under-60000/
Another thing to keep in mind as well - whenever a new car launches, those that have problems will be far more vocal than those who are enjoying the car with no issues whatsoever. Consequently, this skews perception.
At the same time though, as others have pointed out, there are always a few "teething" issues with first-year models. I had one of the first F30 M Sport 335i sedans. The "Comfort Access" stopped working, the taillight housing fell off the car, the electric cooling fan had to be replaced 3 times, the seat hardware was covered in rust, and the "Adaptive Headlights" failed.
That car was bought back and its replacement (which was a MY newer) was absolutely flawless.

Agree with most above, never buy the initial release of any new model of any brand of vehicle not just MB and yes the C63 will suffer similar issues because all of those items mentioned are the same components used on C63 and all other variants of the W205 !!!
Unless of course your desperate and just can't wait or someone else is paying for it, or it's a company car, company paid leasing etc.
If your going to buy and fully own it privately and at your own expense (like myself at an extreme cost in my country of almost $200k) then wait at least 12 months or 2nd model year after initial release or better still until the mid life update which always results in the best iteration of that model range, as I've always said happy to wait
Same here - 2017 will be AMG's 50th anniversary, I've being told by my MB people that maybe we should see some special release editions to commemorate this, should coincide nicely with the new C205 coupes 2nd year
