Diamond White Delay...
I went to the dealership today to change the color of my C63s.
I originally ordered the car in Lunar Blue at the end of February, and I was scheduled to take delivery of the car on June 22nd.
After seeing Lunar Blue in person (too purplish), I asked my sales manager to change my order to Diamond White. At first everything seemed fine, but thirty minutes later - his manager came over to let him know that the Mercedes Factory ran out of Diamond White paint and that I will have to be placed on a waiting bank.
They estimate that it will take an additional 4 months to take delivery of the car now.
I was hoping JPMBenz would have some insight on this situation... or am I stuck waiting.

Nothing new, diamond white orders often cause delays because it's one the most popular or in demand colour choices so supplies tend to run out.
I had the same issue ordering my C204 in Australia back in 2011, ie. was told there will be a delay due to diamond white bright colour being in short supply at the German plants.
AFAIK was told by an MB exec at the time that particular colour (and paint) is actually supplied by a Japanese company.

Just got to work and looked up in netstar are C63S edition 1 is due to be at our dealer at the middle to end of July. The second one is already sold, we have one left. I just verified that the paint is Polar White. If anyone is interested drop me a PM.
