Gloss Black vs Black Ash

What do you guys prefer? Probably the last thing I am not 100% sure about. See my other specs below....

Designo White w/ Night styling

Black/Pepper Leather

Not interested in Carbon fiber as that small amount is not worth $1300 in my opinion.

Black Ash....someone mentioned something about scratches showing up on the early review cars. I just like the overall look of the ash pore.

IMHO piano black / aluminium combination looks the best.

But for practicality/longevity I'd choose the black ash

Also heard of quite a few complaints with the piano black showing up scratches all too easily.

Black Ash mainly because it includes the IWC Clock. The Gloss Black does not.

No way! That makes it a way easier choice. I know I shouldn't doubt you but are you positive about that.

Took a closer look and as expected you were correct JP. Was I the only one that didn't know this? If not we need to spread the word. Makes decision a lot easier

It's all about the small details that make the difference.

I've been told you will eventually be able to totally individualize your options, so you can have your black ash centre console trim along with aluminium trim elsewhere

Not sure if that will apply to all markets though.

I'm not a big fan of the aluminum on the doors. I really like the wood. If the center stack was aluminum as well, then the doors would make perfect sense. I like the contrast of the shiny speaker grills against the wood. It's neat.

I agree with the good contrast combination of black ash door trims and silver speakers, it really makes those items stand out, but an all aluminium centre console is too much IMHO it's way to large an area to have in that finish and would look over the top, maybe that's why it isn't offered or made that way to begin with.

With the piano black option as it's "probably" the best looking for the centre console MB should have done it in a more durable finish and also included the analogue timepiece in all the finish options.
