For comparison, my friend ran his 15 E63S which did 11.9 at 120.50.

The old rule of thumb was every .1 reduction in 60' equals .2 in ET reduction...
A good 60' is 1.8..... so (2.456 - 1.8)*2 = 1.3 sec red in ET..... so you will be in 11's with some good 60'....... just swagging here.

With stock tires, I fear the only way to get near a 1.8 60' time is if the track is prepped with Krazy Glue. Nonetheless, just getting the 60' time down to 2.0 would likely put the car in the high 11s.

Mine is 2013 P31 coupe. I do 12.2 on a regular basis, 115 trap. First race of the season (2015), I trapped once at 114. Temp was 32C and recorded this run. I let go because I did not want to break out (you can hear how the car shifted down before the finish line. This was done on wornout 255 conti, 91 octane, (did not receive my tires on time from Costco). I think the trick is to bring the pressure slightly down (39), never warm your tires, Sport+ for traction and never depress the accelerator fully on launching. Once you get used to the track, you will do 11.4-11.5. Disregard my reaction time, I was spaced out.
The video is for the right slip. I had to let go on every run to collect points.

but they had 46 # in the rear tires

Yes, the reaction time is everything. That is one of the things that I have to work on. It is hard to properly launch a RWD car.
If they had that high of a PSI then the car would break 11 with the right pressure.

They said their testing procedure made them use the pressure numbers on the door frame but they are too high as MB purposefully used high numbers to get better EPA gas mileage.
They said to use the numbers behind the gas door which are lower.

The reaction time is not factored into the 1/4 mile time. The only time reaction time matters is when racing competitively. The first person to cross the finish line wins regardless of your actual 1/4 mile time as measure from the moment your car starts moving.

I'm a bit confused. The 60' time is absolutely critical and takes real practice in a RWD car.

Yup 60' is key.
The real measure with street tires is the MPH... @ 119mph with 4000lbs..... we can calculate the potential.......
@ 1.8 60' is possible on street tires after alot of practice..... and 1.6 is slicks territory......
A 2.456 is just spinning!
So you have alot of potential here.
You need a few things here:
1. good track prep,
2. good weather,
3. practice on the launch...
This is getting exciting.

The reaction time does not have anything to do with your 1/4 mile time. I can see the your car hitting 11.5 on street tires, with a bit of practice for launch. I might be wrong, but race launch or race start or whatever they have now, is not optimal.

Yes, I meant the 60' timing is everything. I know I need to practice; I got it! LOL It's not like I have a track in my backyard.
If traction is 100% off that would make it harder, no?

Sort of you may need to feather the throttle a little bit make sure you do a good burn out and put the pressures down to 25psi or 28psi

I did not use Race Start. I agree with your statement. I had the car in the "Race" profile.

The track I went to was Raceway Park in Old Bridge, NJ. It is a certified NHRA 1/4 mile. Before I get into the track times; let's talk about the weight of my car. With a full tank of fuel, pano roof, and standard seats it weighed in at 4,065 pounds. He is not skinny but he sure is fast!
I was only able to get in 2 runs last night due to track issues. It was a cool summer night and the temp was about 80 degrees. I ran 93 Fuel & Tires were around 23-24 pounds in the rear. The biggest issue is getting the car to launch properly. There is a lot of torque this car puts out. I have room for improvement but overall it was a great night. I will be running the car again and making some changes on my end and the car's end.
First pass - Sport + with ESP on, Suspension in Comfort 12.679 at 117.63 MPH
Second pass - Race with ESP on, Suspension in Comfort 12.506 at 119.14 MPH.
I let the car do all the shifting. I did not shift gears via the paddles.
Ways I will improve next time:
1) Way less fuel. I filled up on Tuesday so that was extra weight to haul down the track
2) Better launch/60'
3) Slightly less tire pressure
Fire away with questions.

Well done it's only the beginning
And I absolutely love the way you covered up the rear end from getting covered in ugly (hard to remove) shredded molten rubber, that's also what I do as well and thought I was the only one lol - that kind of care and attention to detail for your vehicle is excellent !!!

RR Vogue; C63s; GT4 on order
Exactly. Traction control off, you MUST turn off parking sensors as well. The car will shift/cut power if it senses a change in traction surface or elevation (i.e. Small bump)
Race start and leave he line at 3800 rpm. There is no reason it should spin or spin excessively at the track. Heck on the street i run at 36 psi cold and it still leaves the line hard.

Looking Forward to a brave soul to put on slicks on a stock C 63S and then run the quarter-mile.
