C63s. Quarter mile

I don't trust any time slip from that track. Is it even certified anymore? Been shady runs coming out of there for a while now.
Anyone that has track experience knows those numbers don't add up. Mph is horse power and to run a 11.2 your mph is way low.
And to the guy talking about 9s and 10s like a tune and a turbo is gonna get you there out of a 4litre good luck lol.

Merc63 - appreciate the luck. Time will tell what this NEW platform will deliver.
It will get interesting this fall when the serious racers get these things out in some good DA.

I retract my statement. I just looked at some of my slips from runs on the bike. 11.0 10.9 11.1, all around 122-123mph.
I still don't trust that track. Need some runs at a decent track to verify.
9s and 10s are no joke. Gonna take some serious mods to hit 10s and 9s I highly doubt it.

The c6 z06 was capable of 200mph with 500hp, yet the the 1000hp bugatti was only 50 mph faster with double the power.

I guess I need to qualify my projections of performance...... I see this new platform going into the 9's after a few things happen.... just like they did for the E55's and C63 N/A:
1. Enough time passes and depreciation hits that the serious mod guys get ahold of a used variant @ 30 cents on the dollar........
2. These same ind we know who they are...... go after low 10's, 9's with no-limit methods.....using all the usual tricks: wgt reduction, slicks, bigger tires, skinnies up front, bigger turbo's, fuel system, cooling, tune, exhaust, perhaps st pipes out of the turbos, p/p heads, etc.. etc......
The turbo supra people really turned the whick up on those 6 cyl cars..... I see the same (IF) this engine platform stays around for a while.
Low 11's in the near future..... high 10's not too distant future..... and yes 9's for the serious

The track I went to was Raceway Park in Old Bridge, NJ. It is a certified NHRA 1/4 mile. Before I get into the track times; let's talk about the weight of my car. With a full tank of fuel, pano roof, and standard seats it weighed in at 4,065 pounds. He is not skinny but he sure is fast!
I was only able to get in 2 runs last night due to track issues. It was a cool summer night and the temp was about 80 degrees. I ran 93 Fuel & Tires were around 23-24 pounds in the rear. The biggest issue is getting the car to launch properly. There is a lot of torque this car puts out. I have room for improvement but overall it was a great night. I will be running the car again and making some changes on my end and the car's end.
First pass - Sport + with ESP on, Suspension in Comfort 12.679 at 117.63 MPH
Second pass - Race with ESP on, Suspension in Comfort 12.506 at 119.14 MPH.
I let the car do all the shifting. I did not shift gears via the paddles.
Ways I will improve next time:
1) Way less fuel. I filled up on Tuesday so that was extra weight to haul down the track
2) Better launch/60'
3) Slightly less tire pressure
Fire away with questions.

Impressive trap speed... You're definitely making the power with 119mph.
Nice runs and report!! I see 11's in your future with traction issues resolved
Hellcat owners had same issues and with slicks they were in the high 10's low 11's stock.. Slicks would definitely put more strain on the Benz drivetrain
