Front license plate?

I've noticed some cars have the front plates and some don't. Here in California, it's required. Is that installed at the dealer or at the factory? I don't need a stinking plate messing up the front of this car. How do I keep that from happening?

My boy rob has that covered, he runs a company called mid city engineering and he makes all sorts of stuff. Such as a proprietary remote start app for mb's

They don't put it on unless you ask them too. I live in so cal. It's a simple fix it ticket if you do get pulled over. Either buy a tow hook license plate holder to get it signed off by a cop and remove it right after or have cop friends. I do the second option. Lol

That seems dope and all but what if you add a lip or even lower it?

Don't know if it is still true, but last time I lived in CA and had this issue, the ticket gave you a choice, fix-it and pay $10, or just pay $75. I always chose the $75 option.

Good luck, I would never deface the factory fascia with a front plate ;-)

Parking stops are so high that I wouldn't dream about coming close to one. Same with curbs.. So for me it wouldn't be much of an issue ..

Front license plate?
I'd love to be able to tell the dealer not to install it, if only they'd tell me where the heck the car is.

Is it your closest dealer, flhxtsy? The guy I'm dealing with there has been very responsive; I hope that doesn't change.

I have always told my dealer when I buy a new car to not install it, and take my chances. Though, I have an advantage. I'm in the military so I'm always out of state, so most police probably don't know Oregon law (where my car is registered and the plates that I have). I've never been pulled over for lack of front plate.

That's awesome but we have plates front and back always in the UK. Can he engineer me some LED plates so I can press a button in the cabin to change them on the fly for speed cameras?

We have that same issue here in Texas and there is RUMOR they may get rid of that law because it really lowers the value of the car because those that live in states that don't require a front plate don't want to have to fix holes. So far, it is still law though...

Personally I will take my chances here in Ohio. If I do get pulled over for speeding the missing front plate will be the least of my problems. However I do keep the front plate handy to put on the dash if it helps. Probably no though.

I was told from my dealer that all the cars come in from the factory without front plates in NJ and they put them on themselves.

I opted for no front plates on mine and have never received a ticket for no plates even though I was pulled over twice. One time by a mall cop with a handheld laser and another time during hurricane sandy where the cop just asked where I got the gas to drive so fast then let me go free
