MB C63s Edition 1 - DELIVERY DELAYS

I have read a number of threads and people stating delays on delivery of the new C63s 2015. UK; Canada / US; Australia, Europe etc and I just wanted to get some clarification around what is causing these delays as you just do not expect such a thing from MB and now I have read all types of reasons so it seems not all MB got the Memo. I Ordered mine in March 2015, 2 days after a friend both scheduled for Sep 2015 Delivery. Now he gets his June 2015 and I am now quoted the earliest mine will arrive Nov 2015 - 2016 which is a joke and playing in my mind that maybe I will cancel the contract.

Nearly a year to Deliver a car that takes 10 weeks to build ? I heard the logistics guy at apple got fired when he messed it up also.

Thank you for the response, ive been told not enough engines, the paint is to much in demand, country allocation limited and now the colour of the wheels. Yours sounds a little more official though if you was pushing through the system to keep a scheduled delivery date.

Mine was scheduled though and now its delayed extensively. I think i need to speak with Mr MB manager or find another car to buy.

The E1's are only MY 15. It is not available on the MY 16's.

sk are you saying that you think all E1's will be delivered in 2015?

I think he is saying if its an E1, its a MY2015. You won't see an E1 MY2016. You can look at it both ways.

1. All E1s will be MY2015
2. All E1s will be delivered in calendar year 2015

Point #2 is my assumption (pretty safe assumption) since MY2016s will be produced about 45 days from now (August). I doubt you'll see any MY2015 (E1 or not) produced after August.

Correct. The E1's are only being made for MY 15. So you cannot say that a MY 16 is 45 days away. If you want a E1; that statement doesn't hold much validity. However, if you are not considered about a E1 then you have a decision to make.
