Looks like the heat is on. So who's going to be the first to try them out?!

Eurocharged has already developed their upgraded turbos. They utilize the stock housing but flow 20-25% more over the stock turbos.

I cannot say more other than the gains are way higher than those, they are just choosing not to say anything yet, since their stage 1 tune alone with nothing else is already making those power levels.

This M177/178 Horsepower war is about to get real interesting

What do you exactly mean by more power then those? Did you read the whole article? Weistec has not released any power figures for this yet the 550whp and 620wtq is for a stock turbo car with tune and downpipes on 91 octane.

Weistec's setup will most likely make considerably more power then Eurocharged. EC took the easy hybrid route which is using stock housing and replacing wheels but you'll always be limited by the stock housing size, turbo back pressure because of large wheels in small housings, and stock manifold flow. The Weistec upgrade is going to replace the stock manifold with larger inlets/outlets for greater flow as well as completely new turbo housings so they won't be limited in options

Things are really going to start to take off. Soon, the big boys will come out and play, everyone else will be left behind.

Eurocharged units will be impossible to detect, therefore they won't void warranty. Weistecs will

So you're saying that Weistec's turbos are better engineered, and make more power?

Ask the audi 3.0t S4 guys how that idea worked for some of them.

Here's a hint, Google td1.

Same with the S6 - if the dealer runs a check and you are tuned, it will be found & automatically flagged in Audi's system.

The usual RWD quarter mile optimization should apply:
DR's
Slicks
Small brakes + 16" wheels with Slicks for more wrinkle
skinnies up front
remove all excess wgt
The aMG GT is knocking down 1.7XX 60' with aftermarket wheels....... not sure why the C63S should be too much different.... more wgt...... but similar power/tq......

Very good point and something I always allude to as well

Having to purposely set up for maximum traction as above is a PITA and most wouldn't bother.

At least rumours of AWD persist especially at least on one of the upcoming coupe variants - here's hoping because AWD is what this new C63 really needs with these levels of power upgrades we're starting to see now and especially down the track in years to come

If traction is an issue, I'm sure it'll get resolved.

AWD is a totally different car/feeling..... not my preference.. we drove the AWD CLS-63 @ COTA and it was a pig. snooze.

As said above people have been solving RWD traction problems (in a st line) for decades.

I expect 275/35-19 will fit stock wheels. AD08r and RE71 are both available and would certainly offer at least incremental improvements. I plan to find out, but not until I have worn through the stock tires.

I run 295 SuperSports with near 750tq and have problems only in 1st gear. You guys will be more than fine with 275's.

These EC hybrids sound awesome.... Can't wait to see some numbers

295 with 750 TQ on what car though? if it's an AWD car.. that doesnt really count as being fair..

I really don't think 275's in the rear will hold up to 700 HP (crank) 700 TQ (crank) kinda of numbers that people are saying might be possible with the w205 especially with upgraded turbos and full bolt on with ecu.

In the end it doesnt effect me as I don't plan to do any modding like this to begin with, but I am curious as to the limits are and what power can actually be put down

does anyone know if 285 is possible in the rear?

The M5 runs 295 and it easily breaks them loose, also being quite a bit heavier.

It becomes a money factor to get overstated gains and then the tinker factor keeping all of it working all well under dealer radar at warranty time when all these guys disappear.I've seen many blow huge wads and getting Ferrari deep into a car that will never be worth more than you paid for it. I say keep it simple and cost effective to get the extra HP
