Standard 19" AMG Twin 5-spoke or the 19" AMG Cross spoked Forged- Titanium
rims?

I chose the AMG Cross-spoked Forged Titanium for my build. The 5-spoke wheels were just too common on non-AMG sport packages.

I plan on getting the standard Twin 5-Spoke, and swap out for some mesh HRE's or ADV1's later.

Stock rims are going to be too common, no matter which ones you get.

I always prefer a forged wheel over cast. The stock wheel does not say it is forged, so I assume it is not.


Forged wheels are usually both stronger and lighter than cast.


Of course, there are many very nice aftermarket forged wheels, so you may prefer to get the regular wheels and then replace them.

I can't find any good pictures of the 19" AMG Cross spoked Forged- Titanium on a diamond white. anyone know of any?

To me the cross spoke look just like the same old BBS style wheels on most beemers including my 7 series. They are a pain to clean regardless of the tools you have. I went 5 spoke as my car will be my first MB/AMG so I can't be tired of them yet and I hate cleaning wheels. I agree with spending the money on HRE's or something along those lines

I went with the twin 5 spoke. I thought the cross spoke looks "too busy" on the car, the twin 5 spoke looks simple and classy.

I prefer the black ones because my choice of color is Polar white. It looks better with the NSP and C/F spoiler IMHO. I would say it depends on the color of the car. Which color are you thinking about?

I got the twin 5 spoke on my car for 2 reasons; they looked like they were much easier to clean, and also I might be going aftermarket in a bit and don't want to waste money on optional wheels if they are just going to come off the car.

The only way I would go aftermarket if you could get 285's in the rear but between the wheels and tires you're looking @ at least $6000 and up.
