Yet another issue
MB USA identified new software for the ECU, sent it to my dealer and my dealer loaded into my car. My service writer explained that the code indicated the engine was running too rich and the new software leans out the mixture.
During my 10 minute drive home from the dealer the check engine light was off and stayed off. Also, this could be totally the placebo effect, but I swear that during braking and deceleration, the exhaust was quieter and exhibited less popping. I was in Sport+ mode, so that should have maximized the exhaust popping.
In any case, if the new software really does lean out the engine, then perhaps it will yield more power and better MPG.
Meanwhile if any of you get a mystery check engine light, definitely tell your dealer about the new software.
Cheers

Update
Got a call from my dealer at the end of the day. The service techs got a code from my car that they had never seen before and for which they have no factory directives. They have sent the code and associated data to MB USA and are awaiting further instructions.
Perhaps I will get an update tomorrow.
I really do think MB should be paying us for beta testing.
-----------------------------------
My sunroof is still working well after its repair. Sadly, now my check engine light has come on. No, it is not a loose gas cap. The light came on last night on my drive home from work and continued to be illuminated when I started up and drove to work this morning.
The car seems to be driving normally. My service agent told me if it was something really serious the light would flash rather than just come on continuously.
I have a service appointment for tomorrow. I will update.
I am starting to feel like a beta tester and I was expecting things to be a bit more solid. I hope this will be the last surprise for a while.

I've been without the car for a week and I'm getting sick of the C300 ;/
Hope it turns out to be something simple!
Sorry to hear that the issues keep coming; I'm pretty disappointed with the W205's apparent lack of quality so far, but I remain optimistic that things will get resolved, and future MY's will continue to improve.
