Car and Driver July issue
Well, on the July one, it appears that they did more article on the C63S. If anyone has it, if you can post whatever they wrote (if it is worth it) and pics that would be awesome.
Meanwhile I am gonna try to find one in the store, but it might be too late...
- Pugnacious V8, composed chassis, five-star interior.
- Spastic transmission, the group's firmest ride, not as butch as the old one.
- A bar bouncer in a tuxedo.
M3 (First place)
- The lightest and leanest, wonderful sensations.
- Loose brakes, less lavish inside than the C63, some fussy controls.
- Exactly what it's supposed to be: a faster German sedan.
"Faster than its power ratings would suggest, the squared up, relatively pragmatic M3 still feels right for this job, even as its competition closes in."
C63S 0-60: 3.9 1/4: 12.1/122mph
M3 0-60 3.8 1/4: 12.2/117mph

The margin separating 1st and 2nd place was incredibly close (3-4 points, AFAIK). The F8X is a great platform but I cannot believe those goons at C&D had the C63's tire pressure pumped up past the moon. That had to hurt grip and ride quality.
Motor Trend's upcoming comparo may turn out quite differently.

They said their testing policy made them use the air pressure numbers on the door post. Which is just BS because if they were doing a long term test they would not drive it for 12months at 48 lbs. pressure.
They need some common sense and use the correct pressure.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Thus, several of us suspect that C&D managed to interchange the ATS-V and C63 acceleration results.
The upcoming M&T Best Driver's Car review will also include the ATS-V and C63, so that should give us better insight into handling, acceleration and overall street and track performance.
Also, what's the tire pressure debacle... did some searching, seems everyone has a different opinion on this. JP wrote "37 Front/40 Rear." is this different than the sticker?
