C63 Slammed on gepfeffert Suspension - Rebellion Automotive
#51
We applaud Rebellion Automotive for being what appears to us to be the first shop to slam a new W205 Mercedes-AMG C63. What do you think about it?

Lol they reverse mounted the faces to increase the offset on the wheels.
Fail on so many levels.

A little bit beyond my taste. I couldn't even drive the car in my sub-division because the speed bumps would tear it apart.

No way around this looking terrible, unfortunately. The new C63 is by far the best-looking W205, making a very passive exterior (on the base models) look nice and aggressive. Why mess it up? This just makes it look ridiculous.

Really?
So the Motortrend numbers for the C63S is like the biggest and best news thus far for the new model (finally beating out the BMW M) and this slam gets front page news?

The MT results need to be front and center on MBWorld.

>Cool car and great color
>Way too low and you made the car technically inferior to what it was factory
>Terrible wheels and tire fitment, ruined the car
Doesn't look very JDM/VIP to me, looks more eBayDM. Imagine how much scraping there is going to be driving that car on London roads...

I don't remember the last time i was this brutally honest.
Rims remind me of a hard boiled egg once you cut it down the middle.
I am not a fan of slamming cars neither, thus admittedly I will never understand this trend despite being in my early 20s.
just my 2cents.

Guys, just to make it clear...
The car is not always this low! This is just when it's parked off, when you are ready to drive off, simply raise it to acceptable heights

Don't have any supporting photos.
Have seen plenty cars with this setup, and they are always on air suspension.
I'm sure they wouldn't install something like this on a car and not allow it to raise up.

I've seen cars like this that do not raise up and bounce viciously going down the road.

Those BBS wheels make it look cheap. And I agree, BBS is a great wheel manufacturing company. However, they do have certain wheels that have a 'rice' look to it. With all this being said, put some Vorsteiner VFF-103s on that C63 instead.

Those BBS would suit a nice early BMW (E28 or maybe E30) or a Mk1/2 Golf but I'm afraid they look utterly hideous on that C63.
I feel, therefore, that I must apologise on behalf of my countrymen for their mistake.
In all seriousness though, I guess they did what any business would do when you are faced with a customer with money and a taste deficiency. I have seen the workshops at Aston Martin Works where a middle eastern gent sent his canary yellow (wtf?!) DB6 volante to have wide arches and rear wing grafted on. This is a £750k / $1m USD car if left untouched in factory spec but he was paying £150k to ruin it. The good people at AM were hugely reluctant to do it but knew that one day they would have the car shipped back to them to return to standard so it's good business for them. A shame but that's commerce.
I'll certainly be in touch with the Rebellion folks for a remap shortly. I may leave the stancing kit for a while.....
