Feedback on C63 for rain/snow

Curious to know if anyone has driven the C63 in rain or snow yet. I'm interested to see the feedback from you folks since the rears have so much HP..just wondering if you get a lot of slippage in the rain?

I drove in light rain today with no issues. Then again, I grew up in the pacific northwest so rain is normal driving conditions for me.

I owned a 2013 Shelby GT500 for three years in the Northeast. 662hp to the rear wheels. Drove that all winter. Can't imagine the C63s will be harder than that.

Naturally, it isn't a GOOD car in the snow, but provided you don't drive like an idiot and don't go out when the conditions are obviously too bad (unplowed/icy/etc.), then it isn't a big deal. People run into trouble when they want to drive at normal speeds when it is snowy, then somehow blame the car as not being good in the snow. It might not be good in the snow, but most likely it's because you drove like a moron (my opinion).

This is my third C63, currently have the '16 C63S. Depending on the tires, the back end definitely get's sideways if you're not careful!

any car (awd, fwd, rwd) in snow NEEDS snow tires or all seasons at as minimal tire, summer tires and snow = danger

that being said, with its lsd or e-lsd I'm expecting it to be a fantastic, if not sideways, snow car

I live in the UK so I can tell you the car works fine in the rain. Now maybe one of you can tell me if it works OK in the dry? :p

You'll definitely slide if you give it enough power in the rain. I manage to slide the car in the dry sometimes even lol.

I couldn't go anywhere near 1/4 throttle the other day in my weaksauce w204 even. Then again it was raining really hard.

Leave the hooning for dry roads on days above 50 degrees and she'll keep ya between the lines.

I drove to Niagara falls over the weekend. On the way back, it rained the entire way, 4 hours of which was in the dark (6 hour total drive). Sometimes pretty heavily (enough so that it was hard to see the lanes). Never had a single issue with drive-ability. And it wasn't because I was going super slow either. I was doing the speed limit or above the whole way except for a few instances where the rain REALLY started to come down and it was difficult to see.

This is a great question since I'm wondering the same thing about snow even in the 550. I only have RWD so I've noticed in rainy conditions I have to start on the gas slow. I've yet to have a go at in the snow but I assume it's a slippery situation lol. The C63 has to be a untamed monster in certain conditions.

So in Comfort mode where you pull off in 2nd rain isn't much of a problem as you have to push the pedal quite a bit to wake the animal up. However in Sport+ where the throttle is super sensitive and your pulling away in 1st it's really easy to just tap the pedal a bit too much and spin it in the rain. You need to have the foot dexterity of a ballerina to not rely on the traction control in that mode when it's wet.
