Will there be a W205 C63 Black Series?
Again, if it follows the last generation path, it will be lighter, stiffer and significantly more powerful than the base C63 and likely have no back seat.
Seems like this would overshadow the base GT and give the GT-S some real competition.
Any thoughts?

BTW it's model prefix designation is C205

In terms of its performance advantage over the "regular" AMG coupe variant/s well that will be something everyone concerned will want to know, the new AMG C63 coupe is already boasting huge credentials and looks like becoming a new segment champion, a BS variant will only push the bar even higher, but I don't think it'll better the AMG GT in terms of which is the more focused outright sports car.
Power is also an interesting one, the previous C204 C63 Black was not significantly more powerful than the regular C63 especially in the torque numbers, but this new 205 series with forced induction can be made to be significantly more powerful, only time will tell as I always say - interesting and exciting times ahead

Clearly BMW aims at the C63 Black Series with this GTS.
As we know the new engine is capable of being "jacked up" much higher and much more easily than the M156. Based on this, I suspect a new Black Series would add at least 50 HP and should again remove at least 200 lbs. With those changes and the additional suspension, braking, balance and aero upgrades, I think the Black Series C63 would indeed beat the base GT and at least challenge the GT-S.
anyway a black series only comes out when the model is almost at the end of its lifetime so i don't expect a C205 black series before 2019-2020
we still have to get the facelift first
its a statement from AMG btw that black series only come at the end of the cycle (SLK, SL, CLK, C all seem to comfirm that)
ever driven the black series? transmission might be the same on the mechanical level but it reacts much faster

And yes, I have driven a BS. And the MCT transmission is not different in any way to the 'normal' C63 MCT as also found in the FL cars. Not in the mechanics. Or TCU programming. Or speed of shifts. It's a fact.
Back on topic now....
1. Black Series are always coupes;
2. Will only happen in the last 2-3 years of a 7 year model cycle.
This was in context of the AMG GT R session.
I can totally see a C63 R slotting in between the C63S and the C63 Black Series.

this looks nothing close to a BS... and imo, you're right it looks like a modified c450 or more accurately c43
W205 refers to the saloon only. Also as people have said, that rendering is terribly inaccurate. If/when we do see a 205 C63 BS it will have the new front end design that debuted on the GTR.
