Yeah Dragon. MB colours are just too limited.
Their forecourts look bland and very monochrome.

That's the one thing BMW beats MB on. The BMW colors are way more bold with a much wider variety other than shades of gray, black, or white.

Anyone in Aus have updates on when the first coupe will be in their dealer for viewing?

Pretty funny comment from mine during the week that they have an Ed.1 on display at MB Fashion week down in Sydney for people who generally speaking couldn't care less, yet people who have actually ordered one and put money down are still left waiting in the dark.

I partly understand why they roll these cars out like his to build the excitement and demand I guess, but it's starting to get a bit stupid when think of the above point and you still can't get a confirmed date on anything eg: launch, demos etc.

All indicators point at June but does anyone know which week?

Ok guys. I have defected.
I'm currently at MB World and seen the C63 in brilliant blue with AMG night pkg
Fallen in love with it so my order has changed.

And another. I've got 19 twin spoke alloys which works better with the grey calliper

The pics seem to be of a non-night package car Uga. Window edges, door mirror caps etc.. should be black not chrome/body colour. However more pics please, brilliant blue is still not ruled out for me

Definitely a non-night package spec. Night package elements that Dragon described are missing but still looks great nonetheless.

Pictures just don't do it justice as I said before right Uga? Although I'm just not sure about those 19" rims, but to each their own, a fine choice mate

Hi guys what I meant is mine will have the AMG night package.

£2500 for the forged rims is beyond what I would accept as reasonable.
Cleaning them is also a factor. Real pain they are.

Sorry for confusion.

@ Trim. Yes you have to see it. I was told the Driving Experience car is still going through
it's break-in phase otherwise I would have had a go on track, instead I got a passenger ride in the standard C63 saloon.

I must say, without the sports exhaust, the biturbo really lacks the NA's wild nature.
Sports exhaust is a must in order to avoid disappointment.

So sorry to leave the SELENITE camp.

Another thing I learnt is the seat belt 'butler' was missing on UK
Spec. cars, I found the code on the MB Germany website and added it to my order

Anyone interested its code U02,

however the chap I spoke with at MB world said it should become
available in the UK shortly.

I also like the LED lights which illuminate in the outside door handle recess when you unlock the car.

Interesting. When I ordered mine, the seat belt 'butler' was listed as standard (and still is; on my order form).

True, its a heavy price to pay, but they just look so damn good

Shame, anyway, good to know that its being prepped, look forward to heading down there for the track day after I pick mine up.

Agreed, if you're not getting the perf. exhaust, might as well not get car at all.

To each their own! this car looks great in every available colour so at the end of the day no-one's at a loss really

Interesting, I ordered on 1st April and code U02 is not listed.

@ Trm, very true, they do and will look good in all shades and colours.

We will all be happy with our respective purchases. Vroom vroom.

Love reading about your specs guys.

I am still undecided about the color. Selenite Magno looks great as well.

It's still listed on my delivery form (delivery set for End of July/August). Haven't been told otherwise.

My HUD was listed as a provisional item by the dealer, the system refused to accept the build with a HUD on it as a required item. I was told that there *might* be HUDs available later this year but chances were only fair.

Trim might well get one, obviously he may have got a HUD allocated when his dealer locked the build.

Trim - is your car spec locked yet? I have roughly the same delivery date (2nd August) My spec gets locked mid June.

July...

Not sure where your from RHRAUS but not long to go now, they should start appearing in Vic Melbourne dealerships from sometime in July onwards.

I do know of a Melbourne dealership that has had one "hidden away" for months now but they were not allowed to bring it out for reasons of official release dates, there are also a couple at Phillip Island race track ATM for anyone interested

Hi guys, I have deliberated for a few days over the Brilliant Blue, and decided to come back to the Selenite fold, that is if you guys will have me back

In all honesty, the Brilliant Blue did not sit well with me, especially combined with the night pack.

Two very strong colours. Brilliant Blue is nice but I have my doubts whether I can keep it for as long as intend having this car.

So I'm back. Hooray.

I'm actually having the same internal battle right now for my C43 Coupe order (can't order until August, but trying to decide everything now). Had a Steel Grey C450 on the way but decided I wanted the Coupe so waited for the C43 and deviated to Selenite. This past weekend I've started gravitating to the Metallic Blue, so I went to the dealership to see if over lunch today...not certain that I love it, but it was only on a boring C300 with no night package, no sporty 19"/black wheels, and no AMG bodykit...so that definitely didn't help. It did look nice with Saddle Brown though. I could only do the Blue with the night package ascents, but like you, I am very fearful I would grow tired of the bright blue over the 3-5 years I plan to own it.

So...moral of the story, I'm in the same boat as you right now, just a slightly cheaper boat Good luck making the final decision!

For what it's worth, almost all of my previous cars have been blue - my B5 S4 was Nogaro Blue, then I had a E39 540i in Orient Blue Metallic (a much darker blue, but blue nonetheless), and a E92 335i in Montego Blue Metallic.

Clearly my favorite color is blue, but as I've aged over the years, my preferences have changed quite a bit. When I was in my late teens and 20's, I had no problem driving a bright blue car -- but nowadays, I've been much more drawn to neutral colors, especially dark silvers/greys. I feel they show the lines of cars better, particularly with the Coupe, without shouting "look at me".

Selenite Grey allows you to fly a bit more under the radar, but should I feel the need for some attention (as if the Coupe wouldn't draw enough attention), just press the loud button on the performance exhaust and put your foot in it!

Alex. Precisely what swayed me back to selenite. I have always gone down the grey / silver route and fancied a change, however, it just did not grab me. I'm in my early 50's and as you said want to keep it toned down. My two girls love the blue though. Age related ????

@ inhart.

Yes battling is the word. MB have got to look at this issue of limited and very restricted
Colour choice. Designo graphite would suit this car to a tee

Good luck with choosing your preferred colour.
