Trim, how are you going with the running in period? - Its a killer! haha
It was such a killer Sanch! Was too hard not to let her loose on the occasion (alright, make that 'several' occasions )
But thankfully got past the break-in period, she's got around 1700 miles on the clock now. Can't wait to get back behind the wheel once I'm back from my trip, miss her too much already!
Thanks all. I think I've been moved out of the "waiting for my car" support group into the "downshift addicts" support group. God it's just so much fun even rolling along at low speeds.
And then thump on the gas and off around a corner like a missile. So agile and wild yet you're always full of confidence when behind the wheel. All whilst remaining under 4500rpm of course ha ha
Really looking forward to getting to know this car, and I can already tell there's lots to learn.

RHRAUS, your car is absolutely beautiful. What a shine on the Selenite Grey paint and the carbon fiber is a gorgeous touch. Enjoy it in good health after your looooong wait!

Thanks DarthGerm. Yes the finish on the grey metallic is stunning. Looking to get the Paint protection done asap. The carbon did end up looking good IMO. A Nice subtle contrast with the grey paint which is what I was going for.
Hang in there boys as the wait is definitely worth it. Looking forward to seeing everyone else's cars when they arrive.
Great photos, congrats. +1 for the carbon pack, maybe I should have forked out for that. So hard to make decisions on a car/options when you can't see them first hand isn't it.
My wait is almost over. Discharged and currently going through compliance. Hoping for delivery next week with any luck.
Will have to smash out the kms early to get through the run in process though!

Thanks CB34-AUS. Yes went through plenty of ups and downs during my wait with whether the carbon pack was the right move with the grey paint. In the end couldn't be happier with it.
Great to hear your wait is nearly over too, so looking forward to some pics when you get the chance.
I'll tell you what the break in period is a lot more enjoyable than the wait period. Great test of your will power too ha ha.
i got a call earlier today (meaning the 17th) from my friend's husband who works at a merc dealer, informing me that they had a c63 s coupe edition 1 available. it appears that his customer who had ordered it a year ago backed out of the deal, so he offered it to me.
i totally didn't expect it. i had ordered a (standard) c63 s coupe in june, it started being built just a few weeks ago, and it wasn't going to be delivered until end of october. but when he told me that a c63 s coupe edition 1 was available, i had to go see it.
and man oh man, pictures simply do not do the edition 1 justice. it is more stunning than i could have ever imagined it being. and others shared my sentiment. people were standing around it, gawking. (well, they weren't gawking at the one i'll be getting. the dealer had another.) i've wanted the edition 1 from the getgo, but i didn't place the order soon enough, so i thought that my dream of getting an edition 1 was gone, but i got a second chance to get one!
anyway, i wasn't able to pick it up today, since i'm trading in a car, and the car wasn't available right then and there. but i'll be picking it up tomorrow, as long as nothing goes awry. fingers crossed! (there was talk of a $25k markup for edition 1s, but my guy assured me that he'll be able to give it to me for msrp.) anyway, here are a few pics in the meantime:
