Mercedes-AMG C63S Coupe in Selenite Grey (PICS)
But, I have to say that I have found that the traction and grip from my coupe is excellent! in dry weather the car really sticks to the road, it takes a very heavy right foot to get the rear end to break loose in the dry.
When it did rain however, I still found the car very controllable and safe. The very few times that the rear end did slide, it was really easy to rein it back in.
The car does have masses of power, but as I wrote in my review, it's easy to drive it as you would any other car so long as you drive it smoothly, keep it in comfort mode and don't hammer the throttle. It definitely doesn't try and kill you every time you turn left or right like the old C63 coupe did!
I don't have a dedicated 4WD car since snow is so rare, but I'll definitely invest in a set of winter tyres just to be safe and be EXTREMELY light on the throttle.
If we really get hit slammed, its ok I have a Range Rover in the garage too. As I found out in winter with the summers on the rover, the BMW did a bit better controlwise, so its more a function of your tires than anything else. The rover is not going to get stuck even on summers, but it would slide all over the place and not really want to stop which was at times scary. With the right tires the Merc should do fine unless you get deep snow then youll be risking it as its rather low to the ground too.

Thanks Trim same if I find any got a couple of company's looking into it for me as want some decent looking wheels. I run Michelin Pilot Super Sport ZP and I know from the past three years that once that temp drops the grip goes south on the rear and when the winter tyres and wheels go on no more wheel slip and braking is greatly improved and I only have 305bhp going to back wheels. Good knows what 503bhp going to back wheels will be like on cold roads with out winter tyres
I love this car!
End.
Not useful in any way but to the point. If you want something constructively negative then it feels a bit like a toy car at the moment, i need to put it on the track but compared to my other car at the moment an e46 M3 it does feel like there less connection with the road, something I feel with cars as they get more modern. You still can't beat rowing through the gears or feeling the road through the steering wheel.
Though what a daily driver this thing is. I'll come back with more thoughts after 1000 miles and my planned trip to the Ring.
I met up with a very good mate of mine this afternoon. His F Type R looks pretty dull and boring next to mine if you ask me hahaha.
We had a very good time to say the least.

Probably be clearer if we hit the track. It would be a great comparison I reckon.
It was great hearing the differences between each car though. That screaming Jag is bloody amazing with all the endless crackle and pops.

Haha, like me I'm sure you'll find plenty of excuses for several long road-trips (for no particular reason of course
)!

The caption for the rear end shot was "Mercedes-AMG C63ass Coupe", couldn't agree more
