Quote: Picked up my car last Friday. It all went flawlessly with the second dealership I tried to deal with (the first one tried to scam me - see my previous post).

Thanks to everyone in this forum for their advice.

I've only driven the car for a 100 miles (and this is my first MB). But so far, I love the engine's roar and how quickly the car responds in Sport+.

Any suggested mod? I'm mostly interested in looks, not so much in power - at least for now.

Congrats on the new beast! - Start with KW height adjustable sleeve kit

Lovely motor. These cars look great without the front licence plates. I wish we could do the same.

I've been wanting to do that for so long ... it really shows the real face of the car ... ugh wish we were allowed to

We are not allowed here in British Columbia, Canada either... its law to have a front plate.... but I have never had one, or its brackets installed at dealers, on any of my sports cars the past 7 years. I tell the dealer if they drill the holes on PDI and ruin my car with that ugly bracket Im making a scene. Never been a problem, although Benz recently told me I may have to sign something when I pick up my C63S stating that it was not installed at my request and I take full responsibility. In the 7 years without a front plate, I have had 2 tickets for $100 each for not having a front plate... well worth it in my opinion. Also, a lot of guys here in Vancouver are now getting their plate number screened on a piece of white wrap that is maybe 12" x 4" that is simply stuck on the front of the vehicle where the plate would go; local police do not seem to mind it and are not issuing tickets from what I have heard.

haha that's a good one ! well its kinda the same over here, its approx. 55$ if I get fined, worth it I know. however, the probabilities of me getting stopped by police are very high, they're always roaming around, and with all the speed radars around, chances are high

Maybe I missed it, but Simon had did you get them to do the stripe like that. Looks a thousand times better than the yellow one on the Edition one.

In the UK and other areas there are two versions of the Edition 1. The motorsport yellow stripe version with yellow edged wheels and matt grey exterior and the normal Edition 1 with a choice of colour and a dark grey stripe. So I have a "normal" Ed 1, Iridium Silver, dark grey stripe.

Thanks. Wish they had it here. Dealers are sitting with most of the edition 1's here because no one likes the yellow stripe. I was thinking about getting a c63s but not sure I want a paddle shifter tranny vs a manual one. Was looking at the obvious choices 911, z06 etc.

Well they finally did it ... they delivered my car !
Went to see it yesterday, totally blown away by it
It's complete like I ordered it. Now some sleepless nights before I pick it up, hopefully this week !

Here's a quick pic.

Nothing like seeing one up close. So mean in person with super aggressive body lines. Love it.

Congratulations Highbar.
Looks fantastic and quite similar to the car I have on order for April 2017. I am still having doubts about which rims to go for. I would like them in matte black but am looking at aftermarket options. I may order the standard 601 wheels and would put winter tyres on those and go for a separate set for the summer. I am waiting for my dealer to confirm though what wheel sizes are allowed based on the COC. Based on what I can find online, this seems to be 255/35/19 in front and 285/30/19 or 285/30/20 at the rear. I wonder if these are the only options (e.g. 20" in front?) .

Am new here (from today) and also living in sunny Belgium like you. Enjoy the car!!!

Welcome to the forums Joel!
