Yes, lease rates are not ideal. I was offered about the same rate when I was tinkering with lease vs. finance. Needless to say, for that and many other reasons, I am financing.

Crazy part - lease rate- $1950 a month. Total money over life of three year lease paid- $70,200. Total price of car- $85k MSRP. So the car would be worth $15k at end of lease? Mercedes is asinine. So effectively the residual is 17%. That quote was even with TTL paid upfront before lease. Just retarted. Back to BMW

Lease I was quoted was something like $1,800/month on a $96K car (fully loaded car with tax included) for 3 years with not a cent down. I would agree, Finance guy was really trying to screw you. You could finance $85K for 72 months at 2.49% (through Cap One or USAA) and your payment would only be $1,272/month. 3 years in you'd have $43K left on your loan, which means you'd be right at your 50% residual and if value holds up better than expected you may even have a little equity. Might want to consider that as an option unless your 100% against financing.

It was a lease quote. No credit score was given. He emailed me back and said it was a quote the computer spit out and reworked it to about $1600 a month 3 yr/15k. Still $150 more a month than my $120k M5. No thanks.
Jeremy- I am a small business owner as a physician and write my leases off. It is much mod tricky to write depreciation of a car you own off. Just cleaner and easier with a lease.

Let's be honest, M5 had been a prestigious model for some time. I am sure it has a better residual. C63s at the end of the day is a C... When my friends and family first heard how much I was spending on the car, they were shocked, until they see it. Hopefully its residual turns out better (long shot).

I guess I will share.
My purchase was at Fletcher Jones and Pon Chen was my sales guru on Friday.
My out the door was $97,245
down was $7,000
My payment was $1754
My sales and use tax is $140 so ad the 2 to get my monthly payment.
My build sheet was designed around a track car that excluded the heavy roof and included the carbon ceramic brakes and go fast exhaust.
My Business needed a huge write off and we considered doing a 1 pay and that would result in a $8,000 savings but my CFO who I brought to the dealership wanted this deal.
Its registered in the company name and I have to personally guarantee with with a sub par credit score of 650.
Whether I got a deal or not to me is not important. I got a great car. I wanted a GT-S but my *** was too WIDE so next year when I lost another 50 lbs I will buy a GT-S in flat black.
If anyone hates and tries to convince me that it wasn't a great deal or I was nuts to lease or I paid too much I won't be sharing more details. I am only sharing so that if you are trying to get one you have a "GENERAL" idea of what the lease rate is from MBZ finance. I want to be helpful like I have in the past for the betterment of this community. I sold my last AMG like 6 years ago and now I am back in the saddle again and LOVE what AMG has changed. My only disappointment is no native Pandora or Waze.

Just an estimate we received a few weeks ago.
0 down taxes rolled into payment
85k sticker
3 years/10k miles
Lease payment: $1,600
The sales guy stated that if and when we were ready he can work on that price. Assuming we could have walked away with the car for $1,495 per month. Conclusion, waiting for prices to come down on this sled.

Leases are generally cheaper
For the people posting lease prices, you must just accept the original offer.
Leases are generally very easy to negotiate.
For example, After testing a 2016 c300, i was offered $3.5k down, $849/month, after less than 20 minutes of negotiating, it was $0 down $580/month on a $49.8k car.
Granted some dealers will charge a bit more for leases on newer cars (facelifts, new models) for the first 6-12 months, but after a car is in its second or 3rd model year is the best time to lease.
Also for those planning on selling their cars before after 5 years or so, there is a 3rd rarely used option. Basically you have a balloon payment at the end of the finance term. My business partner picked up a 2015 335i MSRP $61k for $0 down $597/month with a balloon payment of about $18k due at the end of the finance period, Which ends right about when the new models will be coming out. The car will be worth at least 18k at this time easily, so you can either trade it or sell it. without much issue.
also for writing your car off on taxes. I currently do this, and its not "worth it" much at all, its just more of an excuse to talk yourself into buying the car. I save a wopping $900 a year off of writing my car off.

I don't think you understand the current c63 market. There is no lease term currently that would allow for a reasonable lease payment. After cross shopping C63 and M3, I signed for an M3 because my lease payment was literally half. If you can go out there and arrange a better deal than all the rest of us please let us know.

c63s coupe, $85k sticker, 4% discount
10k miles/year
$1265/month with taxes paid up front
This is with MSD (multiple security deposits) of $12k up front, this is returned at lease's end. Without MSD the monthly would be about $100 more per month

can u plz share the dealer that u got this killer deal from?

Same logic applies, the interest rate based on the money factor is much higher on a lease than on a purchase. Combine this with low residual values and there is very little, if any, benefit to leasing over financing.
#45
but that’s rare these days
wondering what some of the better lease deals are
#46
so you’re just paying more depreciation and higher interest on a lease.
i have leased most of my vehicles but purchase is the right move on this specific car.
