2019 C63s Driver Assistance Package?
All - new to the community and in process of finalizing my order for a C63s. Was curious if including the Driver Assistance Package is worth it for this car like this. I am aware there are other posts on this, but was curious specifically what other C63s owners thoughts are on the topic of this option. Thank you all in advance!

Absolutely worth it if you do any kind of driving in traffic and/or long distance highway cruising. I mainly do the latter and I have adaptive cruise in my current car. I use it all the time and won't get another car w/o it. I'm looking forward to the assisted steering and the all-round improved system in the 19s. I'm all about driving myself on interesting roads, but there are times when it is nice to have the car assist when the driving gets mundane. It makes a huge difference on the kind of long trips that I do.

I use distronic very often on my pre facelift 2018 model. stick it on and one hand on steering and let the car do the rest on the motorway . makes longer journeys much more manageable. a couple of months ago I did a 520 mile road trip in one day and distronic made it much easier . definitely the most important option alongside the performance exhaust and 360 camera in my view

Thanks all for the quick replies. DAP still worth it if one does not or will not be doing a lot of long drives but rather using as a second vehicle for fun/pleasure? MKe no mistake though this puppy is not just for Sunday driving, it will be used frequently.

Very true as well for the HUD.
What I found out when I had my pre facelift is that it picks up speed so
fast that you are unable to take your eyes off the road whilst under hard acceleration.
And when you get a moment to take a look, you are doing speeds that could
cost you your freedom or at least a ban.
So I added it to my current order.

I would say it depends on what fun driving entails for you. If you have a racetrack in your own backyard, then probably not. I do a lot of destination fun driving. For example, I regularly head out to the canyons on weekends for fun driving and I appreciate having at least adaptive cruise on the way there and also on the way back to relax. I do this with different vehicles and some don't have adaptive cruise and I always miss it. Having it allows me to arrive at the canyons relaxed and ready to have fun, and then on the way back take it easy and rest my legs. On these fun drives I'm usually on the road 4+ hours and 200+ miles and may even hit traffic on the way, so yes for me it's still worth it. While this car replaces my daily, most of my driving is for fun, pleasure and recreation. Daily errands, sure, but fortunately I don't have a commute and can stay off the road during the daily grind and traffic hell, but I still wouldn't get another car w/o some form of DAP. I didn't get the HUD, though. I don't really like HUDs and they don't work with polarized sunglasses.

Thanks all for the replies and guidance. I think I am convinced that it is a must add. As for the HUD I am not sure I am a fan although I acknowledge lots of folks love it. Last item I was debating (albeit basic) is the wheel locks. I mean are they going to conflict with the black rims and are they even necessary. Read some forums about it being a deterrent but are wheels still being stolen these days in suburban areas?

You can buy the exact same set at the dealer at anytime. No need to order on a build if you're not sure. I like HUD because it outputs the speed limit also. A very handy and useful feature. Especially when you are driving and the speed limit changes. It lets you know. Don't want to end up a statistic for a quota from our city's finest you know.

The HUD basically mimics what you can see on your large infocenter if you get the 12.3” Digital Instrument Cluster. So no biggy if you don't get it. As for the Distronic, the 2019 version is a must have IMO.

oh I don’t have mine yet but was going to order your exact wheel with the locking bolts...if they were in chrome I would delete that option...looks like they’re not...wonder why people think so?
