Lane change/wheel vibrate
Just taken delivery of my C63S Estate, great car.
Got the above option switched on but I can't get it to work! It's clearly switched on.
On BMW and Audi you can steer across centre line and it activates.
Evidently the MERC system has mini camera watching me to see if I'm deliberately steering in which case does not activate. I'm pretending to be asleep and let car drift but it still doesn't activate
Is this system much smarter than me or u/s? Can others please comment on how sensitive it is.

Since he has a C63S estate I would say you are not in The U.S.
If you are aggressively trying to cross the lines then it won't activate. Very subtle movements over the line will give you your activation.

In the US, the only way to get the steering wheel to vibrate with the 997 Package aka Drivers Assistance Package. We do not have a Lane Tracking Package anymore on the W205. In the W204, the LTP including Blind Spot Assist & Lane Keep Assist. Is that similar in the W205?

I'm in the UK, my car one week old so latest version
I have both buttons switched on.
Got the display on in front of steering wheel showing the lanes. When lines turn green I try to feign falling asleep and letting car drift but despite repeated attempts I can't get any sign of life.
It either has psychic powers or amazing observational skills or it's not working!

On the W205 C Class, there is no way to get the Lane Keeping Assist without the Drivers Assistance Package. Most of the new models (C, GLC, GLA, CLA) today have Blind Spot Assistance as a stand alone option.
