If you push @ button (Eco) on any mode other than C the green light comes on but does nothing!

While not well labeled, pressing that volume control is the on / off switch for the sound system. It is actually frustrating that turning off the audio system also turns off the screen as there are certainly times when I would want the audio off, but the navi on screen.

As you know w both your Cs, there's no audio off. Just mute. There's comand off, which is what the volume push does, just like the center button of the volume in w204.

I actually thought earlier w205s did have the vol wheel as mute and a separate button for comand off. Your description is exactly like my 2016 though.

Would the mute button on steering wheel take care of that?

Indeed, the mute button would turn off the sound, unless you are unfortunate enough to hit it just as the navi is giving you some directions. In that case, the navi mutes, but the stereo keeps playing (Doh!)

Tow eye

[QUOTE=cyberorth;6634968]This is where you find or contribute neat little functions you discover with your car that may or may not be in the manuals. "Little known facts."

With your permission I will paste your items to this top thread. The readers should give credit to all participants not just me. I am placing this here in the AMG because that is what I have. Non amg owners can come over and enjoy here.

#? Check your trunk to make sure you have been supplied with a Tow Eye, if not, ask your dealer for one. You don't want to find out you don't have one on the side of the road (or track).

this is located in the TRUNK. it is mounted below the SPEAKER tray. Stick your head in the trunk and look UP on the left side of the car. its hiding up above in a nice plastic holder.

if anyone needs a pic i can post one. btw i ordered a spare. one for the front and one for the back. it was like $40 from Fletcher Jones.

Wow nice find.
Even after you told us where to look it is hard to find.
Grab the eye and pull to the left to release.

Now I have 2 as the dealer gave me one as they did not know where it was either.

I think the shift lights needs some tweaking. The lights progress very slowly to redline. Essentially, there's no activity unless you're really getting on it. The shift lights need to be more lively in my opinion.

Agreed but F1 is like that. There is no action until close to redline.

How about when you have it in accessory mode and you leave and try to lock your car with either the door sensor or the key fob; neither work. You actually have to turn off the accessory mode, then exit the car, then lock it.

I'm finding that race mode + auto may shift only at redline. Under normal driving conditions it does not shift. I have not tried to redline it to see if it does.

That is correct, in race mode + auto, the car holds gears until red line when accelerating. The car will down shift under braking. You can short shift using the paddles. When I use race mode I have taken to using manual shifting as a few times I have wanted to down shift in anticipation of a curve earlier than the computer and a few times I have ended up down shifting 2 gears because I pulled the paddle just as the car decided to down shift automatically.

In manual mode, the car will still down shift when coming to a stop to avoid stalling, but it leaves all other shifting to me.

apparently you can put the car in neutral while driving by hitting the gear selector. I have done it a few times when attempting to turn on the wipers haha.
its funny how quickly i adjusted to the gear select by the steering wheel. Now when i get in my wife's car i hit the wipers to back out ha.

also not sure if it has been shared before but i noticed one of my headlamps was a bit uneven from the other. you can manually adjust the starting height with a 6mm Allen key. there is a white socket on the housing with the + - sign. very simple
