Operating Pearls of W205
1.As with previous model, you can manually downshift to 1 in C
2.Don't forget that isofix (LATCH) has a maximum child weight. 48lbs.
3.W204 owners enjoyed folding rear seats to hear the exhaust better. W205 has a center armrest with folding feature for this purpose. This allows use of both rear seats. Try it

4.Rolling the car without the driver (like in a carwash) in it is only possible with actual key fob in the ignition as the start stop button in place keeps putting car in park. Also be sure to turn off distronic plus in a carwash lane as per manual.
5.front cup holder is removable.
6.holding the right paddle will switch from temporary manual into auto.
7.standard wheels have a removable cover in middle. Be sure they are locked by firmly turning counterclockwise and then clockwise to hear a click.
8.push and hold unlock button on key fob will open and push and hold lock button will close all windows and roof. Indent on the door handles does the same.
9.holding the left shift paddle will down shift to the lowest usable gear.
10.No need to release the parking brake manually. Just put the car in gear (D or R) and press the gas, the brake releases automatically.
11.If you jam on the brakes really hard, the seat belts will tighten up and pin you to the seat.
12.To start the car with the performance exhaust on LOUD and or engine in sport+ just hit the start button twice with foot off the brake, than adjust the settings Like the exhaust button and then start the car and you will wake up anyone.
13.be sure wipers are lowered before closing the hood. closed hood interferes with raised wiper.
14.Hitting the Door Lock button twice in succession where The little red LED on the SmartKey flashes twice quickly and then stays lit for a second or so. Inactivated the fob. You just have to remember to hit any SmartKey button to reactivate.
15.trunk pops right open if the key is left in at and it is closed.
16.Cruise control will not engage unless the stability control is full on.

When you want to change back to automatic just hold the right paddle down and it'll revert to auto mode.

If you jam on the brakes really hard, the seat belts will tighten up and pin you to the seat. I learned this the hard way at the AMG driving academy when going into a very low speed turn ;-)
I also like the HOLD function at a stop sign by pushing a little harder on the brake peddle

As nice as we all maybe, there is this one jackass quality shared among us: desire to wake up the neighbors in the morning
Been doing it myself for 7 years now thanks to AMG

"For those with Keyless-Go, your SmartKey is always "broadcasting" its coded signal. To save some battery life (and also maybe for security reasons, what with hackers stealing everything electronic), you can easily stop the SmartKey from sending out the wireless signal by hitting the Door Lock button twice in succession. The little red LED on the SmartKey flashes twice quickly and then stays lit for a second or so. You just have to remember to hit any SmartKey button to reactivate the wireless signal before you approach your vehicle. I turned the signal off on my spare key to save the battery. I also got in the habit of turning it off on the key I carry as soon as I exit the car and lock it."
Once confirmed I'll put it on the top.

So not a huge concern for me to have that in valve open in comfort mode. I did however think it be cool to start it sport+ mode or have it default to that mode and if I want comfort then select it. I'm still in learning mode. This forum is a big help.
