My C63S Has Finally Arrived!!
What can I say...I am in love! After 3 long months, I finally picked up my car on Friday evening. I will say though that it was worth every second of that wait as I got everything exactly like I wanted it. Here's my build:
- Designo Diamond White Metallic
- AMG Exterior Night Styling
- AMG Performance Exhaust
- Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler
- Panorama Roof
- AMG Performance Seats
- Lighting Package
- Multimedia Package
- Hands-Free Access Package
- Surround View Package
- The exhaust note is truly intoxicating. Don't know how else to explain it. S+ mode seems to be my ONLY driving option.
- The Diamond White color is absolutely stunning and coupled with the night styling package...all I can say is WOW!
- Performance seats are the most comfortable seats I have ever sat in.
- 360 degree camera is awesome! So happy I waited to order until this finally became available.
- Hand-free access to trunk is the best $250 I have ever spent. Being able to open AND close the trunk by just moving your foot under the rear bumper is incredibly convenient.
- The IWC clock is beautiful. I love watches, but prior to seeing this car I had not heard of IWC. Now after looking, if you were to pop out the clock and put a watch band on it, it would likely sell for $10K+!
- Overall fit and finish is outstanding.
- Well....it is very hard to find any at this point. This is a bit of a stretch to classify as a gripe, but wish the start/stop button was illuminated.
- And my biggest frustration is....this break in period. It is so very painful to stop at 4,500 RPM. The only thing I can equate it to (hopefully this won't offend anyone!) is having to pull out just when it is really starting to get good with your wife/girlfriend/girl you met at the bar!

The car won't get pregnant! Just let it warm up properly, treat it sympathetically, and it'll be fine even if you drive it enthusiastically.Great looking car

There really isnt any reason with a modern engine for much of a running in period. When I picked up my Ariel Atoms their advice was to 'Drive like you stole it' from the word go !! Yes, wait for it to get upto temps and I wouldnt do sustained driving at the redline but otherwise.....GO !

Yes, removed the plastic lug nut covers and replaced with the black MB logo center caps (got a set of 4 off of eBay for $95). I think it looks much better this way. Not taking credit for this idea though - I believe it was JPMBenz that was first to do this mod.

Beautiful car J!!! I'm glad it all worked out. Jesse is great! I'll be down in Atlanta for the AMG Driving Academy. It's taking place at Road Atlanta this year; maybe we can get together. Yes, my car rolled off the truck and those center caps went in. LOL

Really? It is even illuminated on my 6 year old Volvo. Are you sure its not just something wrong with it or a setting somewhere? Can anyone else confirm?

Yea - agree, no issue at all. Just a minor cosmetic detail that I would have liked to have been handled differently. Keep in mind, this was the best I could do with finding a fault in this car...needless to say I think the car is perfect in almost every way!

Yes, it's an attachment. Was just saying it would have been a nice touch to maybe put a backlit ring around it or something like that. Not complaining by any means - I LOVE everything about my car!
