Tire Pressure Monitors .. Compatible?
Does anyone know?
Are the W204 C63 Tire Pressure Monitors compatible with the W205 C63S?
The part numbers are different but do the W204's work on the W205 anyway?
Buying a second set of wheels but have a spare set from the winters of my last W204 C63. I'd hate to spend for new sensors if the old one's will work.
Testing this is cumbersome so if someone already tried please share.

The W204 version is MB # 000 905 7200 @ 433.92 Mhz
The W205 vesrion is MB # 000 905 0030 @ 433 Mhz
BUT they have different shapes, the W205 have some ridging on the face plate (maybe to fit wheel ridges, not sure) and the angles that the stems pivot are slightly different. They may or may not fit. Need to try.
The other factor may be that the W204 one's I have may stop working sooner as they are 4 years old, although were not on the car very long.

FF. W212 E63 M156 non-pano 18" P2 ParkT NightV (gone but will be missed).
I just had a dilemma this weekend after a shop accidentally broke the TPMS while putting on new tires. Eventually, shop paid for an aftermarket one from Autozone but made by the same manufacturer (Schrader) of the oem TPMS. Physically, the aftermarket one is different, but it's working now. The only visual difference on the wheels is the aftermarket one has the black rubber valve stem instead of the metal valve stem. From what I have read, the TPMS within a class is all the same, regardless of AMG or non-AMG. Anyway, the old TPMS has been on the vehicle for 6 years already, and will probably die soon.

The actual digital data that is being transmitted by the sensor is different. Sure, 99% of all TPMS sensors work at the 433 MHz band, just like 99% of GSM phones in the USA work on 850, 1800 and 1900 MHz bands... but you still can't listen to everyone else's conversations with yours just because it happens to transmit and receive on the same frequency.
