Yes that wat i understood from my dealer. ED1 is value for money.
ED1 comes with CC front / carbon bits / magno / rims / interior matte carbon
a 'normal' coupe can only option glossy carbon
Geez I would never have thought it would have ended up like this. I don't mind the Ed 1 stitching for the seats/interiors and could possibly accept the thin yellow flanges on the wheels, but the exterior stripes would have to go.
In regards to the paint wasn't thinking going for mango bit could always get it wrapped I guess if I didn't like it in the end. Did your dealer confirm paint options for non Ed 1 coupes?

I only spoke about the diamond white bright, which will cost 1k.
the exterior stripes can be taken off pre-delivery.
The only option that I am mildly interested in would be the brakes but I am not a fan of the gold calipers. Much prefer red.
Having seen the Magno grey in real life on CLS I was not impressed. I wanted to be impressed. I wanted to be impressed as I really like some cars in matte colours like the Exige and Gallardo but for non-exotics like the Benz it just doesnt seem to work. It MAY work on the new C-coupe however.
The stitching in orange....doesnt really do it for me. Benz should have done this Ed1 in red instead!
Carbon fibre bits dont interest me at all. It's not a McLaren.
The Ed1 is, if you consider the FULL RRP of options (NB: these are usually heavily discountable) undoubtedly excellent value.
Ah just saw some pics - stitching is in yellow to match rims etc. Looks better in orange actually!
I wonder if Benz can swap the rims?
Are these fairly new pics that you saw? Would you mind posting them as I'm yet to see many recent ones of the interior now that we're close to seeing this thing in the metal.
Ah I see. Yes sorry being on Australia I've forgotten about the C63 coupe as we only get the S version here. I guess things will become clearer in the coming weeks.
Steering wheel says 'Edition 1'. I think all ED1s will have the same cosmetic upgrades 'S' or otherwise. I have been deciding between the C63 coupe or a GT4. August delivery based on them already having my order in and building it.
Apparently I'm actually in their 2nd batch with the first batch to arrive in July.
Demos to arrive in May/June and confirmation again now of the Ed.1 package price at $10,900, and as previously posted this is only $1k more than the CC brake option on just the 'S' model.
So great value as we already said but I'm now waiting on paint options though for the S and Ed.1 to be confirmed.
