I think Benz Australia should make the panoramic roof optional. I find mine creaks at the moment on my coupe.
Metallic paint is a NC extra.

What sort of discounts will be available off list cost???? I've been able to get heavy discounts from BMW & Benz in the past but not for cars that have been just released.

Are you referring to the C204 ? reason I ask is because your showing BMW as your current vehicle...

I've had my C204 for nearly 4 years - nearly 80,000km driven - NO squeaks from the panoramic roof

Re: discounts, usually very difficult if not impossible on initial new model release with a high initial demand or uptake, I believe the C205 C63S allocated production for Australia is already sold out across the Country for the first 12 months.

That aside repeat customer / good relationship with dealer will most usually get you a discount - it has for me

Yes thanks PorGT3. This has given me a head start for when I go in tomorrow to lock in my spec.

Happy to see the selenite grey metallics as a no cost option.

So the CC brake option on the 'S' version is just for the front wheels seeing it says (front), is that right?

So if you want all 4 wheels with CC brakes you need to go with the Ed1?

I just thought all 4 wheels would have the CC Brakes for that price plus the fact it might look a bit odd with different colored calipers?

Yeah on the C204 the pano roof creaks over bumps. And also a loud cracking noise is heard from the roof going up driveways as the chassis flexes in hot weather. Plus the pano roof tends to transmit a great deal of heat to the cabin thus making further tinting a necessity. I really would rather not get the pano roof but it looks like there will be no choice in the matter. I got Benz and a couple of BMWs. I actually prefer Benz's look these days.

I was hoping Benz would allow a little more customisation on their AMG product this year. For example, Jaguar on their new F-Type SVR allows you to choose pano roof, carbon or just plain and even opt out the standard SVR spoiler for a fully intergrated one.

Carbon brakes are included in the price for Ed1 (which in sedan and estate they were additional cost options) so that makes ed1 somewhat good value for the coupe.
Carbon brakes are only on the fronts, incl. ed1.
No pricing on C43 (not that I'm interested) but the dealer did confirm its coming (to Aust).
My c63S coupe is scheduled for a July delivery (fingers crossed) but they can still take orders for nov /dec delivery. Not sure how true this is.

Ok so does anyone else have any issues with having the CC Brakes just on the front, from a visual point of view. I know it would be personal taste but if I were to get them I think all 4 would need to look the same.

Or is it possible to get the ones at the rear painted to match the same colour?

Some sedans on car sales have all 4 wheels matching so with the CC brake option on the sedan/estate was it front and rear that was included in the price?

Yeah I got a problem with that. It's ridiculous for that sort of money only CC on the front plus no colour choice. And it doesnt look aesthetically ideal.

I prefer red calipers myself plus multi-piston setups on front and rear. The single piston penny pinchers on the rear look really cheap. I would PAY for at least a 4 pot setup on the rear from factory.

On the sedan if you get the S you get the red calipers std. and if you go for the CCB you get them on the front only but all 4 are painted the gold color to designate the CCB.

All locked in!!!! I just went it to confirm the specs for my C63 S Coupe:

- Selenite Grey Metallic
- Exterior Carbon Package
- Interior carbon/brushed alloy trim
- Interior Black/Red Leather

As we know in Australia everything else is standard so nothing more I could have added I don't think.

In the end decided against the CC Brakes as I actually don't think it looks that bad, as it links up nicely with the red tail lights and red leather interior. Also most likely won't be doing much track time and I guess I could always get them painted if I had enough of the red calipers.

Considered the Ed.1 for a minute but just couldn't with the exterior paint only available in the magno grey.

So the 6 month (hopefully no longer) wait begins.......

I believe so as there was no mention of a discount and to be honest with the current demand I don't believe anyone will be in a position to get one unless you've been a long time MB customer (which I'm not).

They confirmed the roll out for these new models (including the sedan, GTS etc) are all being drip fed strategically, which I think we've all realized by now.

I've just been advised that the first batch and demos arrive in July.

Second batch to follow Aug/Sept much like the sedans last year.

Yes I noticed the other day that the ETA on my order is 20th August at this stage. See how we go though.

Likewise, mine should be here by end Aug - start Sept. As long as there are no delays in the factory or shipping I guess.

Hate to burst your bubble, but my 204 c63 coupe had to be the most creaky/rattly car I have ever owned. The worst creak was infact the pano roof...

I'm hoping its the opposite with the new coupe as I'm looking to upgrade this year

My bubble is not burst as I don't have this problem

It does seem to be a hit and miss thing as it would seem some have pano probs and others do not

I'm not sure if individual care/maintenance has anything to do with it but my C204 is always garaged when not in use and always under cover during work days so does not suffer constant weather/elements exposure I'm thinking the constant expansion/contraction from weather wear and tear may have something to do with the pano roofs parts and components becoming loose and rattly...

Standard fitment or not My next C coupe will also definitely have the pano roof, it's a feature I absolutely love about these cars and can't go without, fingers crossed it too will be trouble free like my current C204

The only part I don't like about the new C205 pano roof is that it's not the full one piece length all the way through, I'm going to have the metal portion wrapped or painted gloss black to look right.

On the topic of Aussie C205 C63 deliveries the quoted timelines above on post mid year deliveries sounds correct, supply at this point in time is a problem due to the obvious initial uptake, but hang in there time flies

I've manged to solve all the creaks and rattles in my C250 coupe except the pano one (which only gets resolved for a few days at a time when I lube it). I really hope Benz allow me to option it out. I also have had to tint the inside of it as I found it to allow too much heat into the cabin and directly on me. The tinting made a massive difference.

I also agree the pano roof should extend the entire length of the car.
