It would rub on the drive train. The solution was to bend it a bit.

Posted a new thread with my video review of sound.

Thanks for that.

Does Josh/AWE have any comments on fitting difficulties?

Mine was also rubbing/rattling in the same spot. Right after the mid pipe. We tried loosening and adjusting several times, but then a rattle creeped up near the muffler area as well.

I ended up removing the awe exhaust and returning it back to them via their 30 day satisfaction guarantee. Although I have my doubts I’ll ever see my money, as they make their dealers honor the guarantee. So I’m sending it back to AWE, but relying on their dealer to actually refund the money. I’m preparing for a fight, but I’ll see how it plays out...

its interesting you had to ultimately modify their design by bending it to make it work.

It was a very slight bend. The exhaust sounds so much better than stock however, even the performance exhaust. Get so many now haha.

It is surprising to me and others as it was the first time we've heard of such an issue since the application's release. Ensuring the front joints are fully bottomed will allow the most clearance around the the driveshaft support. We always recommend having an AWE dealer do installations (if possible) as they are trained and familiar with installing our configurations.

AWE AMG C63 Track Edition Exhaust
Thanks Josh,

The AWE Track Edition Exhaust was the perfect upgrade to increase exhaust volume over the standard Performance Exhaust which I thought was to quiet for my liking even with valves open.

Here's a video of a short drive through different driving conditions.

Thank you...

I know that would have been great but I only just got my GoPro.

The car gets quite a bit of attention, lots of comments on how it sounds and tonnes of thumbs up, head nods etc from both young and old.

I purchased my AWE exhaust through a third party here in Australia and I just want to say thank you to both AWE and Scuderia Autoart in Sydney for there great customer service.

So the valves on my AWE exhaust randomly stopped working. Let's see how good their customer service is.

Nav: I got your PM response from over the holiday weekend. According to records on our end you should have received a response from Dane this morning ahead of normal business hours. We're on it.

Update: Been working with Dane over email/phone.

AWE Tuning customer service has been good, nothing negative to say thus far. I know its not normal whats going on with my car, just a bit frustrating.

That aside, they offered to do what it takes to fix it (new control box or exchange to track exhaust and reimburse me).

I think im going to go with the Track route since I dont want to have to worry about electronics again later.

5/5 would recommend... this car sounds so damn good with the valves open on the AWE exhaust, much better than any other C63s ive heard.

If your in Australia contact Scuderia Autoart in Sydney, I dealt with Bruno and Sam both were fantastic.

Fitting was done by my old work at internal cost and I had both the exhaust and KW HAS fitted at the same time so I can't really give you an amount for this work sorry.

Unfortunately the bracing found under the Cabs prevent the system from being able to fit.

Our old Project C63 has been remixed by the new owner, and now features aftermarket downpipes paired to the SwitchPath™ Exhaust.

From the videos, I notice you loose the burbles, cracks and pop our original performance amg exhaust produce. Why is that?

Is there anyway to keep that?

Our C63 did not have the burble characteristic of the factory software, so we didn't loose it, per se, our car never had it.

Check the C63 coupe video above as that had the software update.
