C63S Turbos not working
So this has been happening for about a month now, at the start it only happened once in a week but now it's once a day, the car works normally and everything functions as it should in the start but after 2-3 hours of driving the turbos produce no boost and I have to turn the car off and then on for them to work.
Anyone know what's happening here ?

It was always fixed with a restart and the temp was ok. Just stop and turn it off and on right away and it was good.
I would put HP and TQ screen up on the nav. screen and it would have about 275 HP with no boost but with a restart it would have 500HP and feel normal.
I had the dealer check it and look for codes but they never found anything.

it happened to me 2 time last month around the 2000 mile..
after working the car very hard in sport+ mode and race mode..
i had to turn the ignition off and on to fix it.. i did not take it to the dealer.. i don't know if it will happen again.

VERY reminiscent of the intercooler water pump failures on the kompressor 6s and 8s. Water temps within the intercooler system get to high, via failed water pump, and boost is shut down till the water temp lowers. No codes tripped either.

I notice when I have the AMG screen up in between the tach and speedo, I don't see the turbo's boosting. Even when reving the engine. My C63s is new so I am breaking it in, so I have not been riding it hard, been waiting to hit 1000k. Not sure if its a problem that the turbos are not working.

On the turbo boost screen in front of steering wheel it will not show any boost if you are not driving so stopped in park it will not register. You have to be driving.
You can watch the nav. screen and if you have boost it will go to 500 HP and 500 TQ but if no boost it will not go beyond about 275HP.
Mine did it early on but not since and I usually drive with boost screen up so I can see if I have a problem again, but not any more.

Remember that you will not see boost when free revving, there is no load.
Boost only occurs when there is a load on the engine, like trying to accelerate.
When under a load, the engine can't swallow all of the air produced by the turbos at that moment. Air pressure is accumulated in the intake tract while waiting for the intake valves to open, which is what is measured as boost.

To put on the Nav. screen, go to the Vehicle button then Dynamic select then Engine data.

The gauge never changes it just wont go past about 275 when boost is not working and up over 500 when normal on both HP and TQ.

Just happened to me today again--first time since 1000 miles and now 5500mi.
Stop and restart and all is well.
I just e-mailed my dealer service tech and asked if he would check with AMG.
All of you that has it happen should report to your dealer and tell them several guys on MB world and having same thing happen and maybe with more complaining they will look at mere seriously.
