Thanks for the info and may be useful for others who get seat noises. The passenger seat orthopedic supports might well have been the ticking noise problem although probably not connected to the creaking I heard later on with seat #2 which had both problems sadly. Life is too short, decision made and I don't regret it so don't worry mate

Just a small update, I didn't completely give up with Mercedes and bought a GTs which is awesome!

install was a breeze and I went with carbon fiber rear diffuser and OEM gloss black front chin spoiler and OEM rear spoiler. The rear diffuser is from EuroTeck racing and I was the test subject for install. It is identical to the OEM edition 1 diffuser only in carbon fiber.
