Have any of you UK guys been made aware of an internal bulletin apparently stating immediate cessation of C63 Coupe production to resolve a production issue? Also states there is no timeline how long this will take?

Haven't heard anything but seeing how long the wait has taken its not hard to believe. This is just getting ridiculous. The bloody W206 will be out by the time we get our coupes

Apparently those already in production are frozen until they can resolve their "issue". Those scheduled for production are of course frozen until the chain resolves itself.

It was serious enough for a bulletin to dealers with no time frames given to resolve.

My dealer hasn't heard anything and my delivery date hasn't changed at all (he sent me a screenshot).

I've seen the bulletin but not from my dealer who hasn't yet approached me. I hope perhaps it's been deemed not serious enough to filter down yet.

The iridium silver looks really good. The contrast against the black exterior trim looks really sharp.

The silver/black contrast is the main reason I went down the silver route from originally going with blue.

About 3 weeks until mine is due to arrive, build is supposed to start next week, not long now!

I want my C63 to look like VU8905. I really like the silver highlight on the air dam in the front bumper PLUS NO pano roof and silver window trim. Too bad in Australia you cant option that although I havent asked specifically yet. As an existing customer that is considering vehicles in the $175-250k range I'd hope Benz allows some degree of flexibility at no extra cost.


The new AMG GTR sounds fantastic btw; shows what can be done from factory with the 4.0 engine. Could give a clue to a future C-coupe black series/C63R....might be worth the wait I think. Should be truly excellent.

Agreed with the silver highlight, it does look good. Might even get it wrapped but I'm hoping the Carbon Fibre with black gloss look I've gone for on mine will be enough to make it work just as well. Personally I like the black Pano roof and black trims around the windows.

In the UK the blacked out look is standard and forced on the Edition 1 but is an option on the non-Edition 1 cars.
