WEISTEC VTA Valve(blow off) install

Sorry for resurrecting a graveyard thread but this is the first result on Google for an install guide (weistec doesn't give one).
I'm on a FL 19 Amg S and from the looks of it the clearance I have is far less than a pre-fl. Could have something to do with the new grill or something.
In any event, this is by no means a 10 minute install as promised on the package, it took me an hour but that was due to the difficulty in removing the bolts. The only way this is a 10 minute job is if you have the front end of the car off.
On mine there was no room for a ratchet wrench/ monkey wrench. In order to remove and insert the bolts I had to use vice grips on the torx bit itself to get a right angle to remove the bolts. One the head was exposed I then used a small string to ensure the bolt did not drop down into the engine bay.
You do not need to worry about the plastic bit falling off when the 2 screws are removed - it sits 1cm into the hole that it is mounted to and must be pulled forward first to come out.
From my experience, it is noticeably louder with the weistec "trumpet" install than with just the pipe removed. Could be in my head or maybe the angle in the oem part does something to the sound.
Also, you can 100% control this with your right foot. It isn't going to blow off in comfort mode unless you really want it to.
Finally, it is super loud... Like ridiculously, giggling inducing loud.
Edit: Also, I should not that in my FL. This reduces the frankly dangerous continuing acceleration on lifting off the throttle. Not sure if any one else experiences this but basically, on 50% throttle if I ease off the accelerator at the same time as the car changese gear (around 3k rpm), the car continues to accelerate. While this is somewhat expected because due to the nature of how a Automatic Transmission works, the vast majority of this was occurring due to the excess turbo charged air being recirculated into the intake manifold. One practical benefit of the VTA is that this effect is now minimal.

do you hear the sound every time you let off throttle? I have been a little weary of this mod or an after market intake because I dont want my car to sound like the japanese ricers that seem to always making that bov sound : /
is it a subtle mod or did you guys ever think it was obnoxious after getting it?

I just watched the video, Im thinking of trying out what was suggested in the video to see if I like it. I think I found some caps on amazon to use. Are the ones weistec uses just vinyl? Just want to make sure what I find will hold up to under good temp.
Also, is there no hazard of having the lower section wide open for debris or whatever, whether it be with the weistec piece or if you leave the stock piece on but open (I get that, that isn't the intske side of motor going into the turbos).
1 inch cap :

I mean, if you watched the video in the original post and/or read any of the replies prior to replying you'd likely know, but I'll help you out. The caps in the Amazon listing are the two of the pieces supplied in the weistec kit. They're the only two things you technically need to do this mod, so you're blocking the now empty holes in the air box when removing the two tubes. The actual aluminum pieces in the kit you bolt on don't do anything and are simply added in to be able to call it a kit and list it for 150usd. As per the suggestion in the video, Im tempted to just order the caps, remove the tubes and remove the plastic pieces bolted onto the bottom section(or just leave them on). However in another thread Zac motorsport commented on it probably being best to take them off so its not directing hot air at the hood (since they're kind of an elbow piece where the tube attaches)

Considering you're in the c63s section of the forum, no, I don't have an e63s. This could by why you're confused about what they're for, it's a difreent setup.
