C63s road noise and ride quality
Hello Everyone
I'm new to this forum & this is my first post. I'm planning on purchasing a c63s sedan or coupe. So I have a few question.. How is the ride quality in comfort mode? compare to a c450 in sport plus & a camry/accord? also how is road noise at highway speed? compare to a 2015 camry? I've test drove the c450 and the only thing I remember is the ride quality in sport plus is pretty comfortable for me

If the C450 in Sport+ is comfy for you, then you should be fine with the C63S in Comfort mode. It's about the same. C63S in the more aggressive modes will definitely be stiffer though.
It's no Camry, even in Comfort mode.
Road noise at highway speeds; I don't know, I always have my exhaust in Sport+.
Honestly though, a C63 isn't exactly something you go to for comfort and quiet cabin.

Personally I don't mind it but the C63S sedan is very firm in C but road noise is not bad at all.
I hear the new coupe is not as firm but of course I have not driven one yet to compare.

sometimes I have to drive my families to other states so it need to have a quite cabin and decent comfort. But when I'm by myself I drive like a 16 year old who just got his license xD

AMG said they've made the coupe more compty in comfort mode than the sedan & a lot of reviews said that too

It's a given, considering the high performance and low profile tires and the chassis tuned for handling rather than barca-lounger behavior. Plus the sweet, sweet exhaust notes.
That said, my wife and I can easily conduct a whispered conversation while my son is asleep in his carseat in back, when I'm in Comfort mode.

I agree, I was nervous about highway driving as the drone of a load exhaust can be tough on a long ride. In comfort mode with the exhaust closed it is not bothersome at all.
I would recommend getting the performance exhaust as you can quiet the car down when you want.

this guy (at around 43:43 mark) talks about how the coupe is a far more comfortable ride in comfort mode than the sedan, which he felt was way too stiff and uncomfortable in comfort mode:

A45, Amarok, C63s Edition 1 wagon.
I have a C63s wagon. Ride quality is fine on ****ty Australian roads. I just leave the car in "comfort" suspension mode... everything else is a bit firm.
That said, it's still much nicer than my old VW R36 and I think it's much nicer than my pre-facelift A45, too.
Road noise hasn't been an issue.

W205 C63S Sedan: 8.5x19 front, 9.0x19 rear wheels with 245/35R19 front, 265/35R19 rear tires.
C205 C63S Coupe: 9.0x19 front, 10.5x20 rear wheels with 255/35R19 front, 285/30R20 rear tires.
I think the new rear suspension on the Coupe is the reason it's a much more comfortable ride.

Not sure why that would be the case as the the Coupe has even larger, lower profile tires than the Sedan, and mostly all reviews have praised the Coupe for having a much more comfortable ride than the Sedan.

That is not correct: The sedan rears are 9.5 inch

Hi Guys - New to the forum, so apologies if I'm going over old ground, but if anyone knows the answers, they'll be on here....
Just changed my 2012 E63 Estate which I loved, for a 2016 C63S Estate running on 19' wheels and Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tyres.
With just 300 miles on the clock we went off to a golf trip to Northern France. Suspension on Comfort is still a little firmer than the E63, but OK. Running in, so kept below 85 mph and the journey there was fine. French roads were empty and smooth, but the concrete sections on the M25 gave a lot of road noise and certainly a firm ride.
Coming back was OK in France but the M25 was horrendous over the concrete sections. Tyre noise and buzzing from parts of the internal bodywork made the journey a real pain. I kept checking the suspension was still in comfort as it seemed rock hard and more like race mode.
Before leaving I checked the tyre pressures and the fuel filler cap said 38 on the fronts and 35 on the rears. That was a surprise as I would have expected the rear tyres to be higher than the fronts.
I'm guessing that heat build up in the tyres after 60-70 miles at 85mph could increase the tyre pressures further or there could be a fault in the software meaning the damper settings had changed without me knowing but in slow traffic over concrete sections of the M25, the ride was unbearable.
Does this sound familiar for a C63S?
Will lowering the tyre pressures improve the ride?
What pressures would you recommend?
Of course I can get the dealer to check the software or suspension, but has anyone else heard similar stories?
Maybe this morning everything will be OK again, but the based on the ride home last night, I'd happily have my E63 back......

Having tested the saloon and owning the coupe, the coupe has much better ride comfort. It's quite supple in comfort mode and even in sport/sport+ it's still bearable and compliant.
Road noise however, you get quite a fair amount of. Especially the coupe having bigger tyres than the saloon but it doesn't get to a point that it's unbearable. Besides like some have said here, you'll be hearing the engine and exhaust more than that, which is exactly what you buy a car like this for.
