Eurocharged Tune & Downpipe Review
Cliff notes: See “giggle like a school girl”
Eurocharged staff: In one word, professional. Everyone I met was courteous and knowledgeable, from the people up front to the techs in back. They’re always upbeat and willing to help. For example, I had a slight rattle and a group of guys worked through their lunch to make sure it was taken care of so I could be on my way.
Tune: Drivability is great. Cruising around in comfort mode, you don’t really notice anything. Everything works just as it should, no functionality lost. Sport and Sport+ modes are snappier. The car pulls like a freight train all the way through the RPM band. I let a friend drive it, who is a Corvette owner, and he is now turning to the dark side.
Downpipes: Beautiful craftsmanship and welding. It’s a shame they’re hidden under everything.
- Startup - The car really announces its presence when started. There’s no need for the multi-step method to open the exhaust flaps on when starting the car, unless you really want to scream “look at me”.
- Idle - Standing outside of the car while it’s idling, you know there’s something different because the car now has a low rumble. It’s not obnoxious and not noticeable inside the car.
- Exhaust “closed” – Nothing appears different when cruising around. It’s slightly louder than stock with the volume increasing as more throttle is applied.
- Exhaust “open” – There's a slight rumble at idle. The exhaust note is now directly connected to the gas pedal and when accelerating, it roars. Downshifts are an absolute hoot. Parking garages and tunnels bring a smile from the echo.
