Screeching brakes and brown dust

My C63 generates a lot of brown dust of the brakes which is not a pretty sight on my black wheels. Also the brakes are screeching a lot. Is this normal or should I put a complaint at my dealer? Can this problem being solved? Any solutions? Thanks for your help.

Normal with these high performance brakes. My C63S does this too; My Range Rover has just as big Brembos and does the same thing too, and everyone over on the range rover board seems to be complaining about the same thing.

Welcome to the world of AMG lol

I have to wash my wheels down once a week to avoid the screeching and the break dust!

Thanks for the feedback. Seems that I'll have to learn to live with it. I already read that heating up the breaks by braking sequently 8 times from 100 to 20 might help the screeching. I'm gone try that soon.

Mercedes is gone green so the brake pads don't have asbestos in them therefore making the compound harder which equates to the screeching. Something that we have to live with.

Not everyone has screeching brakes ... 14,000 miles on mine and as silent as when it had 80 miles on it

That or you just don't hear them. They don't screech 100% all the time. I have a Range Rover with the huge Brembo brakes that also screeches. I used wonder what the complaint was because I had never heard them screech. Well I paid attention and braked more smoothly with the window down and I totally got it when I heard how loudly the screech. The C63S, same exact thing. But I don't really care as they work so well so whatever, I can live with the noise. I only hear it if am listening for it. What do people think when I roll by in one of the cars and they are screeching? I don't know and doesn't bother me.

If you are not hearing it, good. If you want to hear it, trust me its there, you just to listen more attentively.

The problem even gets worse. When the weather is good they are even screeching when I don't brake at 70km/h. I already tried to heat up the brake by sequently braking 10 times from 100km/h to 20 but no difference. I already concluded that it are the rear brakes. They also give a lot, but really a lot of dust. My black rims look brown after 400km.
My dealer says its normal?? I' m going to visit him again next week.

Again this is normal. And the titanium color rims actually don't look as bad as the black ones when caked with dust. Yes it makes tons of dust, but like I said before I have a Range Rover with Brembos and its worse with dust and screeching. Its the price of driving around with al that stopping power. You can go Carbon Ceramic and pay north of $6000 for them, but you wont have much screening and no dust.

Have them coated with sealant and or paint protectant like Opti-Coat. They clean way easier. On top of that wash the car more often, its the cheaper solution.

Normal with these large performance brakes and big brakes in general.

Same thing happens on my Range Rover as some here have mentioned. Not much screeching luckily, but a ton of brake dust regularly accumulates on the rims.

Same with my C63s coupe, not much screeching but lots of brake dust, which is annoying as I have the matte-black rims so it really shows.

as sanch put it, welcome to the world of AMG

believe it or not, I clean my wheel every 2 or 3 days, but that's only with water and rubbing them with a sponge to have them look clean and look black not brown

however, I use sonax wheel cleaner every 2 weeks maybe and the effect is amazing.

I think its this one, http://www.sonax.com/Products/Tyres-...l-cleaner-PLUS
