Rebellion Piggyback

Is anyone else having issues with their piggyback? I've had mine installed for about 1200 miles along with downpipes/filters. Car loses boost sometimes after doing a few pulls. Also got thrown a "MAP/BARO Sensor Low Input(P0107)." When I contacted the shop that did the install they said that it's the piggyback that causes the issue. Side note: the shop wasn't too happy installing the piggyback and advised me it was a better route to flash my ECU. Haven't heard back from Rebellion regarding this matter either.

Was wondering if anyone has had similar issues and any suggestions to shops around SoCal who could possibly take another look at this.
Thanks.

Edit 1: never had this problem stock. Currently around 5200 miles, mods installed around 3900/4000 https://mbworld.org/forums/c43-amg-c63-amg-c63s-amg-w205/627800-c63s-turbos-not-working.html

Sounds like a possible loose MAP sensor? The harness connections need to positively 'click' or they can be loose.

I've had my Rebellion piggyback for about 4k miles now, no issues.

Have you tried removing the piggyback and installing the jumper that came with the unit? So you'll essentially go back to stock and see if your problems still return.

There have been a few people who've had problems with the piggy back. I'm having a unit replaced after my car went into limp mode multiple times while driving and it was determined that the unit was defective after I sent it in. It's a risk we all take when we mess with the ECU and I give Rebellion the benefit of the doubt. The unit worked great for three months so when it's working I have no complaints. We will see how the replacement unit works on my car after it's installed.

Had a similar problem but after plugging in the jumper and then putting the unit back it, the car runs without issue. Not sure there was a "reset" involved but problem solved and I'm not sure what caused it and why its gone now. Never got any response from Rebellion. In my opinion, customer service from them is questionable after the sale. Unit might go up for sale soon as I'm now looking for ECU tune.

Haven't heard back from them yet so don't know what my next option would be. If mine is defected I'd be open to trying out the product again.

Put the jumper in and drove around a little. Didn't get a chance to test out with hard pulls but will do it in the coming days and report back.

Rebellion started replying to emails again. Try contacting them again to see if they can help.

Yeah they replied to mine. I'm wondering what's the difference between their piggy back and the VR tuning one. The VR one has more hp and tq but I don't remember if it's on 93 or race gas. The Rebellion one saw a 60 bhp increase on 93 from their website. The VR tuning module is almost twice the price though as Rebellion's.

Look at the vr tuning box picture and the rebellion. what are the chances both use the same color wires, boxes, jumper and wire connector locations...

Considering the branding is just a sticker.. not quite centered at that.. I can believe it.

Just wanted to report back. Tracked the car this weekend, and around 10-12 laps in (intervals of 3-5 with a break in between), the car went limp around the third set. Plugged the jumper in and ran the rest of the day with the piggyback off and couldn't replicate the problem. Also wanted to note seems like the issue occurs at higher RPMs. Felt loss of power after slowing down from a pull going around 120. Contacted Rebellion and waiting to hear back.

I heard that the DTE System plug and play has good gains and no issues with the guys using them.

Never met or spoken to anyone running the DTE system yet. Not a single one.
