Mine was free. Bought my car from Keyes Van Nuys, CA. I think they charge 299.00 or something but when I was working out the terms on my car I said I didn't want to pay for diff and I wanted a free set of brake pads when they needed to be changed. Had free brakes and rotors at 8K miles. I said those are my terms or I leaving to go to Rusnak BMW to buy an M3 that I had custom ordered and was sitting at the dealership which was true. Wasn't trying to be BS them or anything.

Yes I negotiated that in before I signed anything. I have the most power when I'm sitting there, pen in hand about to sign and start asking for things to be thrown in. If I'm buying a car for $80K + I want some things for free!
Also if you are a medic then you get free servicing as well
