W205 Facelift

But I'm confused because so far, I've only heard of the "sedan facelift". I can't imagine Mercedes would sell an outdated coupe alongside an upgraded sedan...so it makes sense they would add the upgrades to the coupe as well. But I'd like to know for sure if someone has confirmation of the upgrades coming to the coupe. Thanks!

Nothing new is coming for 2018 except late availability of Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. The only other changes are reorganization of the option packages and a few very minor features being standard now. Early 2018 builds are already at the port in the US waiting release from MB.

At least in the AMG series.
That was what happened this last time around, I believe.
It was the W204 AMG until way later in the regular models year....

But it would probably really suck to buy the car this fall and then feel crappy when they upgrade it just under a year later!

This is my dilemma, mine is due in 10days and I can't wait to get it, but it will be horrid if in Jan they announce the facelift. The dealer is quite sympathetic and said i can apply my deposit to the new model if i would like to.

Good point. This also rubbed me the wrong way...you gotta give up the upgraded screen...so basically, you can't have the 12 inch screen if you want Carplay. Who made that idiotic decision at Mercedes?

Don't ever use them though haha. My wife has called me a few time when plugging her iphone into the usb and carplay comes up about ready to go Office Space on the infotainment haha!

I got the multimedia package for that bigger screen. Makes no sense that apple car play is not available on the bigger screen.. its as if mercedes don't want to put apple car play on the c class until the facelift

I think they want to get it to work, they just haven't figured out how to do it with the current hardware. If it was just a matter of updated software, I can't see why they wouldn't include it. It sounds like it will take revised hardware as well.

In reality Apple Car Play is pretty ordinary anyway, you have to be plugged in to use it and usually cant use the vehicles native features at the same time. By the time Car Play is good, it wont be compatible with these cars anyway.

No facelift??
Ok Merc finally updated their C63s sedan page for the 2018 model. And I don't see any of the upgrades mentioned in this thread or elsewhere on the internet...no 12 inch screen...no upgraded dash or steering wheel controls...
https://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/vehic...-C/model-C63WS
So...no facelift or interior upgrades at all for 2018, even for the 2018 sedan?? Very odd.... Now I'm wondering where "Uga Uga" got those pictures he posted...

The earliest we will see these upgrades are mid year refresh, or for 2019.

Yep. MY2019 Sedans will probably have a facelift, Coupe's will probably be a little later since it launched 2 years after the Sedan.

I guess I'm in the minority here. I prefer the current setup with dual analog gauges over the widescreen MFDs in the E/S class. It's one of my favorite features of the AMG interior. I also don't mind the floating iPad screen since it keeps the integrity and natural flow of the contour line of the leather dashboard while keeping the screen high in visual range.
