W205 Facelift

Just wanted to start a discussion thread about the facelift that will inevitably happen.

My guess it will be either for MY2018 or MY2019. Revised bumpers and possibly taillights? What would you like to see for the facelift?

hmm, id like to have something similar to the power domes of the c63 507. they add to the aggressiveness of the car don't they?

Well I thought this was relevant to this thread.

http://www.autoevolution.com/news/20...upe-91304.html

They are expecting a C-Class facelift next summer as a 2018 year model. It looks like Mercedes is listening to the complaints and will be integrating the screen into the dashboard a la S-Class.

I do like the full dash LCD. Just hope it resolves the rattling.

I don't think the face lift will have any drastic changes... it never does.

Don't get your hopes up, just few cosmetic upgrades.

The new E63s though :O

600+HP (0-100 in 3.3 secs)

This is the next generation of cars....

I would like to see what the next generation of C63s will be like!!!

Thats what you rather wait for.

I would like to see the new E63 grille on the facelift C63. Would look awesome.
The C is selling well and as Sanch mentioned, my guess is there will be very little tweaking done to the facelift until the W/S/C 206 arrives.

There's a lot of tweaking happening under the skin

And for all the sedan aficionados there maybe (I say maybe as it's not confirmed by AMG yet) a lot of tweaking happening externally

Here is my hope for the LCI:

1) GT/SL Style Headlights
2) AWD (GLC63)
3) 9 Speed MCT from the E63
4) HP Bump
5) Apple Carplay
6) New Wheel Choices
7) Heated/Cooled Seats on a non Designo Interior Sedan

I have heated / ventilated seats on my c63s coupe, non-performance seats, black with grey accents

Hello JPMBenz, your "in the know" so I thought you could state items such as the above with certainty

There's quite a lot coming for the 205 series MLU I think 3 & 4 are of the most interest and it's a yes to both, but don't get your hopes up on AWD anytime soon for the C63's...ie 9spd MCT RWD

9 Speed MCT? Really?

We all should be allergic to those 3 letters.

I wouldn't count on AWD, and I also wouldn't count on a 9MCT. MB has to keep some distance in the hierarchy so if they keep giving E63 goods to the C63 no one will buy the former. It's all about marketing and generating sales. They could easily have given the C63 the DCT from the GT, but of course they didn't.

I would expect a mild HP bump, but nothing drastic and game changing. I think for sure we will see Apple CarPlay.

The fact they haven't included Car Play in the 2017 coupes is an embarrassment. Merc telematics are no more advanced than a four year old Audi. Second biggest peeve would be that awful iPad tacked onto the top of the dash. Oh wait, if it was an iPad dock instead, it would be much better.

I'm not sure I would want a 9 speed. There's no point in trying to operate that as a manual. Even a seven speed feels like a CVT. There's no fun in it.

AWD would be a nice addition. The C63s has to be leaving some acceleration on the table.

This.
Also the C63 is known for its tail-happy RWD fun. I think AMG wants to preserve that for now.

Definitely no AWD for the C63 anytime soon, AMG is certainly happy to retain it's tail happy nature and its RWD layout for where it sits in this segment

9spd MCT will replace the 7spd MCT across the board - eventually, in the C63 it will still be RWD only.

And as you are all aware there is already a lower C Class AMG with both 9spd and AWD, I don't think any future new model E63 owner will be bothered by that what so ever

Bump

Anybody got any new information to share? I want to know whether MB will release the LCI for model year '18 or '19.
