It takes a bit. I got a sedan, which is built in the US, and it's taking forever to deliver. Build was August 20 ish and my estimated delivery is October 7. So plan on a couple months at least of its coming from Germany.

2016 C63S Sedan
My sedan was 12/13 days from build to delivery in CA. Built Aug. 21 and in Ca sept 3 last year

Yeah my info is from here and from the dealership. Biggest give away is no euro delivery on a sedan. It's not all that terrible it just means it's assembled here. Everything still comes from Germany they just put it together here. Or at least a majority it the parts do. Shorter shipping time from completion! Allegedly. I wanted Euro delivery but they said no go as its built here.

Car has 55 % US and Canadian and 25% Germany parts which include Engine and transmission.
No difference in quality and if you look at some of the Europe threads about wind noises and such it might be better here.

A Benz and a BMW
I don't know how I feel about North American built German / Japanese luxury cars. Whether it's having been in a C Sedan, a Lexus RX, or a BMW X5...I've felt a noticable difference in North American quality. Enough so that I would always take German / Japanese built if I had the option.
That's not to say that there are no exceptions to the rule. Just not my cup of tea

I have drive past the plant many times going between Birmingham and Tuscaloosa. It's been painful the past few times know my new beast is being built there. I just wanted to pull into the plant and skip someone a crisp $100 and tell them to hurry up and put mine to the front of the queue.
