The residue left after film removal has been my concern as well. What I can tell you after trying to research this over the internet for several weeks now, is that no one has a good answer. Everything is based on speculation as I have tried to bring this issue up at different forums. I have not had one "real world " experience with someone attempting to remove film from matte paint. I can tell you that I have a clear film bra that I put on my 2004 BMW which is now starting to show cracks. It is 12 year old film and I am hoping that technology has improved over that time. Needless to say, I still have not tried to remove it. The XPEL guys stressed to have a professional installer remove it. I did post a thread in a forum consisting of installers on their experiences with film removal over several years from matte paint and after a week I still have not received an answer from someone who has actually done it. If that is of any consolation.

Thanks for the info! I have changed my mind yet again lol because of that, I am doing a Modesta coating that should be scratch resistant and will maintain the matte appearance. Its a good middle ground for me I feel.

Congrats!

I removed the yellow decals on the hood, roof and trunk. It's ALOT better in my opinion.

I've got a question

Originally had the C43 sedan on order because I wanted a fun car that's not a 4-cylinder. I noticed the dealership had a C63 S Edition 1 in stock and I wanted to see it in person, plus I could check on the status of the C43. It wasn't sold yet!

Long story short how could one resist this masterpiece of engineering after seeing it and hearing that V8 roar. It immediately stole my heart and I knew there was no going back. I am sure the C43 would have been a great car, ignoring what people think if its an AMG or not. I honestly welcome it, and because of it I got this after all.

Anyway enough rambling! Here was yesterday, before I knew I would get it!

And after I finally got it! (Easter egg, behind it was a Ford GT )

Does the C63 S Coupe got the same performances as the C63 S edition one?
i mean the edition one is the same car as the c63s coupe but it has some more styling?

Yes, they are the same car performance wise. No difference between the two besides for the styling and brakes.

Just those Ceramic brakes with Gold AMG calipers, those yellow stripes shouting Edition 1 from 2 blocks away when you see it, the Yellow trims and stitching in the interior but that's it. Performance and everything else, the same.

The newer C63s though has a more sophisticated steering console with more controls, plus the cluster panel are now digital compared to the analog gauges from the Edition 1.

Both still look amazing, especially when you got them in front of you in person!

Just realized this was from a while back, wondering how it looks like now and what's been done to the build?

Some of our C63S customers wanted to get out of the stock wheels as soon as they got the car! Here's one we've done in the past, one of our customer's C63S AMG Edition 1 sitting on our 20" Frozen Silver finished BD-11 Wheels

Just click on the image to check out our full gallery on this build. Enjoy!

The digital instrument cluster did not become standard in the US till the ‘21 model year. It’s was an option for ‘19 and ‘20.

I had the impression that all Edition One came fully loaded, but noticed that there are no options buttons above the light control unit. In my 17” c63S, the buttons were there for lane keep, 360 cam, HUD, etc., but I’m not seeing these buttons on any Edition One cars ever. Does it mean that no Edition car comes with these options that are available on non-Edition One cars?

Can an Edition one chime in and inform us if it has HUD, 330 cam, etc?

Depends on where you live. Edition 1 cars were pre-speced by region. I believe Canadian Edition 1 Coupes had Distronic, as some of the ones I've seen elsewhere overseas (based on photos I've seen).

US Edition 1s were not speced with the P3 package. In fact, not even the P2 package IIRC. So no Distronic, no 360 camera, and no parking sensors (yea...tell me about it). And no HUD.

I spent a LOT of money and successfully retrofitted the OEM 360 camera on my Edition 1 Coupe. I have one more retrofit I'm currently attempting; not sure if it'll be successful. But Distronic isn't really possible, unless you have DEEP pockets. Like tens of thousands of dollars...

I bought mine ED1 as used, and they came with 360 camera. But I haven’t see any other ED1 has this other than mine.

How many miles were on it when you bought it? Cuz if it's used, in the US, with the OEM 360 camera, it's probably my old ED1
