Question for owner of edition 1 w205 sedan, is the red stripe on the side mirrors painted on or are they decals ? If they are decal, is it one continuous piece or are the diagonals strips all separate pieces?
Also, how far does the red stripe wrap around the corner ?
They are stickers. Oddly I only had the left side of the decal on mine on either mirror. The previous owner must have removed the solid stripe so I can't tell you if it wraps around.

If you test it before applying it looks like it's shorter and will not extend on the curve of the mirror cap,but when you heat it with the hair dryer it will stretch.
It extends about 1/2 " over the bend on the cap.

is it aligned properly or are my eyes seeing it wrong I feel the right edge of the decal should've slightly gone up.

As i don't know exactly how it is on the c63(except for pics i've seen)we decided to put the decal straight not following the line of the side signal,which is diagonal.
He followed the line of the curvature of the mirror cap..and i think it's straight,it must be the angle from which the photo was taken.

yea I noticed it, the stock one seems to be more diagonal.

So the ebay decals has the diagonal stripes in separate pieces and the OEM come as one complete piece? I worry that those small diagonal pieces peeling off at the corner easily during car washes or wiping. Also, does the OEM decal also extends about 1/2" around the corner too or longer ?
