My selenite C63S coupe is finally here!

Got the call Friday afternoon and picked the car up Friday night. Car is exactly as I ordered (except it's missing power folding mirrors) and looks outstanding to me. Sorry for the quality pictures I've been enjoying it too much to take some high res. I'll give it a good detail and use the DSLR to get some nicer photos. The wheels look more reflective in these pictures than they do in real life, I think because of the fluorescent lights. In real life, they are kind of a dull aluminum color, exactly what I was hoping for, and really compliments the car. Full specs include black with grey accent seating, black ash wood, premium 3 package, AMG exhaust, parktronic, and HUD.

After picking up the car, I went to cars and coffee Houston where another forum member had his edition 1 there and both cars were in good company. Then went to Eurocharged here in Houston for a dyno day. Lots of good people and nice cars there. Got a ride in the eurocharged C63S sedan with upgraded downpipes, turbos, and tune. Eurocharged is a very professional shop and I will be getting the downpipes / tune there in a few months.

The car is brilliant. My individual setting is suspension on comfort, engine on sport plus, transmission on auto, and exhaust on loud. In comfort I can drive around my neighborhood without pissing off the neighbors, but flipping that switch to individual is fun every time. I'm breaking her in so haven't had too much throttle, but every now and then my foot might slip a little. Like everyone else has said, the engine makes this car, 100%. I drove 911s, M4, M6, RS5 etc. None of those cars have the character of a muscle car with the technology and refinement that I was looking for. I am surprised with how compliant the suspension is on comfort mode. Much more compliant than my ATS before this, that car was a back-breaker. Very stiff in sport, doubt I'll use that too much but nice to know it's there.

If I had any negatives it would be the cupholders, what a joke, that cheap plastic thing comes out all the time, and it looks like it belongs in a base honda. I think the HUD is kind of blurry and I haven't figured out how to move it around yet, hmm maybe it's dirty? I'll go through the manual tonight.

Looking forward to good times with this car and more AMGs to come.

Very Nice congrats

I know it's subjective to ones own personal tastes but IMHO that's so far probably the best looking selenite C63 I've seen on this forum and reason is because it's not wearing the black night package trim, love the titanium wheels and satin chrome trimmings, chrome exhaust tips etc. contrasting and really showing off the lines compared to the "hidden" or invisible blacked out look.

never did I like the night package... especially the black trim in the diffuser and exhaust tips ... prefer them to be in the chrome finish.

Congratulations. The car looks fantastic. If I were to get Selenite Grey, I would spec it to look just like yours. The titanium wheels and trim just looks great against selenite grey. Night package I think only looks good on white or silver.

I may be wrong, but that appears to be Mercedes of North Houston. Same place I picked up my GLS.

Couldn't agree more. night package looks great but I thought the silver / grey would contrast well and I think they do!

Thanks everyone for the kind words!

Yes that is Mercedes North, had a good experience there.

Here's a better representation of what the wheels look like to the eye. Very happy I went with these.

haha I wonder how these wheels hold up with the brake dust? I've got a feeling they hold up better than the matte black? any confirmation ?

I had the black wheels on my sedan they were so hard to clean even with the coating.

These are so good... they are coated gloss and the extra ceramic coating makes it quite easy.

I was expecting this !

it all depends on how you drive it, and believe me, my wheels cant stand clean for 2 days I'm abusing the brakes so bad

AMGs are known for break dust... you can't escape it!

Same here, but these just need a quick spray with the high pressure hose and your set.

that's the sad truth. the wheels look really bad when they're covered with dust but you'll eventually have to live with it

Unfortunately here in TX we do. Car doesn't have plates because I only have a rear temp plate. Haven't decided if I'm going to put on the plate on the front. It's my daily so getting pulled over will be a pita but it's so nice without it!
