Any suggestions in the US for cheap winter wheels for a 2016 C63S? Not sure I trust eBay wheels and do not want to spend $$$$ on forged or full MB wheels.
FF. W212 E63 M156 non-pano 18" P2 ParkT NightV (gone but will be missed).
You can probably use the R157 wheels from the following company: https://www.replika.ca/default.aspx?lang=en-US
They make good quality wheels for winter use at a good price. I couldn't find them in the US. You can find them at major wheels/tires stores and websites in Canada. It's not difficult to arrange for UPS to pick them up and bring them into the States.
Just got into a 17 C63S with the same question. TireRack has no options for this car. Called the dealer in mid-atlantic and they couldn't figure it out either. It can't be this hard.
Coming from the BMW and Porsche world, this is the first time that I am really struggling to find options.
First off... the Mercedes parts dealers online or otherwise are absolutely *pathetic*. Most barely answer the phone, if at all, and are unwilling to find out when basic info. I have tried four times talking to my local dealers only to be put on hold without a word! I've been trying to determine some cheaper MB options and stock, shipping times, and confirmation of fitment seems to be beyond most of the dealers/online parts departments I called.
Second... most of the regular good/decent quality alternative brands (BBS, OZ, Enkei) seem to make nothing for this car.
I'm not interested in taking a risk from a Canadian dealer and making arrangements for UPS. Thank you for the insight. I just want to buy something and have some dealer in the states stand behind the product in some way.
As of right now, I think I may just bite the bullet and find some mid-price Vorsteiner wheels. I am going to see what pricing can be (looks like 700ish a wheel for some of their cheaper options?). At the 4k tire and wheel price point, I may also seriously consider getting an E46 325xi for winter duty. I cannot believe how painful this is! I just bought a track/project car so I'm not sure my wife will be happy to have 4 cars in the driveway.
Aha! I thought I was going mad when I couldn't find any wheels that fitted. Guess the car's too new. I really like the BBS CI R but they don't make it in anywhere near the right size
As an update, ended up with HRE FF01s. Some "issues" with the order. Wheels are nice.
For those considering a 9" wheel up front and the recommended Pirelli Sotozeros in the stock size, the tires run very small for their given width. The front tire will look very narrow on a 9" front rim.
I ordered HRE FF01's as well in Tarmac for my 2017 C63S coupe and am outfitting with the Sottozero's. It seemed to be one of the few options out there. Should look good though. My car just arrived and is being PDI'd this week. Here is a pic right after arriving at the dealership. She's a little frosty and still has the shrink wrap....

Congrats. Looks good. The Pirellis run really narrow, so be conservative with the width! While the car looks great from the side, if you look at it closely you can see the lip of the wheel exposed. No margin for error with parking!

Thanks Sanch!! I will put a few miles on it this winter around town, but summer cant get here fast enough!!
I had a 2015 C63 sedan prior to this coupe so looking forward to seeing how the coupe handles.
Drove in some light snow accumulation today and car was surprisingly good. I have low expectations with the Pirelli.. just need enough to get around in a bind. They certainly beat the SS runflats!

The summer tires are definitely no good once the temp drops. Snow or not!! I had Sottozero's on my c63 sedan and then threw 100lbs weight in the trunk. It worked just fine except for the heavy snow days. It never occurred to me at first that turning off the traction control could actually help in some circumstances. My F150 4x4 will get the bulk of the winter driving duties, but you can only go so long without hearing that rumble of that AMG twin turbo....
