Its open for biz. Keep in mind if you BOUGHT or LEASED a NEW mbz you have a credit for about $1895. Normally if you have never tracked they give you the BASIC class at not charge. If you have experience at the track or other driving schools they will credit you the $1895 for a diff class.
ANYONE can drive at the academy. Its a good place to learn the basics and you get to drive THEIR cars.
Just confirmed with AMG Driving Academy. If you are in the AMG Private Lounge you get a 20% discount. You cannot combine 2 discounts. So if you want to do Advanced and you have the credit that is the one offer you can use.
Additional INFO:
My friend that bought the edition 1 coupe c63s was asking:
• Will bmw driving academy qualify him for advanced? (if so he got some silly keychain and not paper to prove it)[AMG Academy] If it was a BMW Performance Driving school – then yes he could take Adv.
• Can he bring his significant other to an academy day?[AMG Academy] We do allow 1 guest per participant. They must 21 or older and the fee is $250. In addition, we request that the stay in our chalet during the day and they are not allowed at drive modules or in cars…FYI. They are welcome to dine bfast and lunch.
[AMG Academy] Side Note – The AMG Purchase Reward is valued for the Basic course ($1895). HE can apply towards Advanced ($3995) and pay the difference.

Please take note though that the credit received must be used within 12 months of taking delivery of your new AMG vehicle. The credit cannot be used after this 12 month period has expired. This means that you must attend the class (not just register for it) within the 12 month period.

So basically if you are close to your 12 months and you have not used your credit email them soon and explain what you want to do and when your credit expires.
Also if you just bought your car its smarter to sign up for the AMG private lounge and then contact the academy because they will have verified your vin that way. Sometimes it takes months for you to get the credit from MBZ but this is a faster way I found to use my credit.

Trying to decide between Circuit of the Americas and Lime Rock Park for the Basic course. Their schedules work best for me. Does anyone have a preference or tips on how to choose a track?

Guys am in. I am going to Laguna Seca for April 1st Basic. I have done BMW at the performance center in S. Carolina after picking an M3. I wanted the advanced but I have work commitment so grabbed Basic. How fast can we go? I did 160mph on the Autobahn would hope we can get up there. On a second note I looked at the map and looks like this track is not far from Camel By The Sea.. I was just there last year doing the Land Rover Off Road training. I also got two events credits after buying my second Range Rover but Land Rover wouldn't let me use both. Anyway loved that area and looking forward to a day of fun. All booked up and ready to fly out next week. Maybe we can do a forum meet and greet..

Got all excited to sign up then noticed, I'm short by 1 year of being able to attend. Sucks being 20...

Bwahaja I wish I had your problem kid. That's awesome in all seriousness. Wait until you hit 30 you'll start wishing there was a way for the years to go in reverse. Enjoy being young and nothing sucks as such. More like such not to realize how lucky /special you are. I don't want to sound like some people but damn when I was twenty like you all I had or could afford was an $800 junker.

Awesome thanks. It's nice I picked that track even though it's turned in a return trip across the country and I was just wishing it will be worth the trip and sounds like it will. Also do they take video and give it or sell it to You? Should I pack my go pro? I know they say no loose cameras but I think I can safely mount on my helmet if they'll allow that..I'd love to have video for keepsake.
